Enjoy walks to the the ocean and some of the best hiking California has to offer, all from this exceptional vacation home in Half Moon Bay's beautiful Miramar neighborhood with a fantastic coastside location directly on a new bike path. You'll relax as soon as you pull up to the property.

Vacation in this remarkable home situated on over a third of an acre, only blocks from the ocean, and a short distance from lively Pillar Point Harbor and historic downtown Half Moon Bay. Walk down your private driveway directly to the bike and walking path, or exit through the back gate and find yourself two blocks from the entrance to the 517-acre Quarry Park and some of the best hiking in California.

From the extensive and beautifully landscaped front yard, make your way to the entry and into the light-filled living room accentuated by corner windows and a partial ocean view. Gorgeous Ebony hardwood floors flow into the dining area and remodeled kitchen complimented by stainless steel Kitchen Aid appliances. Down the hall, find the spacious primary suite with remodeled bathroom while two additional bedrooms and an updated full bath finish out the floorplan. Recently renovated backyard is equipped for relaxation complete with lush landscaping and patio space with a Bullfrog hot tub.

Fantastic Stay Near Halfmoon Bay

Our family had a great stay at this lovely home, which is close enough to easily drive into San Francisco for a quick day trip or take a drive down the coast to stop at one of the many beautiful beaches along the coast. The outdoor space with hot tub and playground were a big hit with our kids and were a great to have available when we just needed some time to relax at the house. Also the location to the coastal trail in Half Moon Bay was nice for scenic walks in the morning or afternoon.Everything about the house was as described in the listing and the host was very response and communicated quickly with for any questions. Looking forward to see if this place is available to rent again for next time we plan family trip in the Half Moon Bay area.

Great family-friendly home, close to beach, bike/walking path

The house was spacious and a nice size for 4 adults, a 2 1/2 year old and 6 week old baby. Three bedrooms--2 with queen beds and one room with 2 twin beds. The furniture and bedding were comfortable and the living room was nicely laid out to get the ocean view and also watch TV from the large, L-shaped sofa. Great front and back yard for kids to play and run around. The jacuzzi was clean, warm and an added bonus for relaxing. Our grandson loved the play kitchen set in the house, story books and paper for drawing! Thanks for an easy get away from San Francisco--only a 30 minute drive!

Good potential but needs attention

My friends and I stayed here for 3 nights. The location is great, but the driveway is hard to get in/out of due to traffic on the main road. The inside of the house was mostly clean and comfortable but definitely needs some love and attention. It has such great potential for being a GREAT rental but seems neglected. It's always nice to come to a house that has an information binder for the house and suggestions for the area, which it did not. The kitchen was hardly stocked with several empty cabinets and not enough basic supplies to make the stay comfortable. The electric stove was confusing and complex to use, it took us a good 15 minutes to get it hot. Many of the drawers/cabinets had dirty kitchenware or trash in them. There were only plastic wine glasses which was a disappointment. The bedrooms were good but didn't have any extra blankets or pillows in the closets. The hot tub was a nice feature but the lights didn't work and half the jets didn't work. We enjoyed the backyard but the string lights that are advertised weren't working because they needed an extension cord to plug them in and there wasn't one (nor did the host respond to our question on it). The backyard patio set was covered in spider webs and all rusted out (so we just sat in the plastic chairs). The garage looked like a dumping zone for empty boxes, trash, and random items. There were no backup supplies like trash bags and kitchen towels or games of any sort. The house NEEDS SOME LOVE!

Lovely stay in Half Moon Bay

This was a perfect weekend away in HMB. The house was clean, hot tub was on and clean, and owner was communicative. We were originally going to bring kids and ended up just my husband and me which was so relaxing. You can walk or bike on the ocean path across the street. We will be back with the kids!

Lovely beach home

We had such a great stay in this lovely beach home. It was just as described and central to all that we wanted to do in Half Moon Bay. The weather was not on our side for our stay but it was no bother as we enjoyed hanging out in the house, cooking, playing games and relaxing in the hot tub. The host was very communicative and welcoming. We will definitely be looking to stay here again - thank you!

Great location-needs some love

My adult daughters and I stayed here last year and decided to do the same this year. The location is perfect for a relaxing get away. So many great adventures within a short drive or walk. Unfortunately, the house didn't feel as polished this year-fooseball in the garage was broken, hot tub worked but said it needed maintenance and I got red itchy legs after going in, the stovetop had grime build up, and even the keurig had an alert for descaling needed. And a nice chunk of the view has been blocked by a new house going up next door. We still had a wonderful stay, the beds are comfy and the place is cozy and comfortable.

Beautiful Home!

We had a fabulous stay! The owner was so quick to respond to questions, and it was set up perfectly for our annual girl’s trip. Very roomy and updated. Great for sitting around the table and playing games. We loved it!

Perfect location for a family get-together

Brian was an excellent host. Communicated all the pertinent details ahead of time, and check-in was seamless. We came out from around the country to celebrate my sister's pregnancy, and this was the perfect place to do it. The house was well-stocked with plates, silverware, and cookware, as well as a toaster and Keurig. It was clean and felt very homey - my 5 yo daughter felt right at home with the kid-friendly toys and books and kid's playset. The location can't be beat. Short walk to Surfer's Beach with a nice bike/walking path right in front of the house. The hot tub was set up for us, but we were so busy catching up as a family and walking along the beach that we didn't get a chance to enjoy it! We did sit out in the backyard at night, as it's tastefully done with ample seating and private. Would look at staying here again when my sister has her baby in a few months!

Wonderful vacation

The house was perfect for our family. Great view and lots of room for our boys to run. The whole yard is inclosed so I felt comfortable letting my 5 year old roam while I relaxed. I was worried that it would be loud because it was right off the highway but at night the traffic is minimal so it wasn’t a problem

Lovely Coastal Get Away

My family and I had a wonderful stay. The house is lovely, nicely laid out and offers plenty of room for a family to unwind and spend time together. Backyard is spacious, private - a nice area to relax at the end of your day. We walked to The Barn and enjoyed the family style picnic dining. Coastal bluff walk is close by.

Relaxing Weekend Get Away!

The entire property was absolutely beyond my expectations, and the photos truly do not do it justice. We were in town for a wedding and the location of the property was beyond convenient. The beds were comfortable, everything in the home and yard was immaculate, everything we needed for cooking was present.Check in and check out instructions were clear and easy to follow. The property could easily be enjoyed for guests of all ages, there were conveniences for children as well. This was an adult only weekend, but definitely considering a stay next summer with the littles as I know they would absolutely enjoy it as well. Thank you for opening your home for others to enjoy!

Quiet retreat 30min from San Francisco

Family of four had an amazing 6-night trip to HMB. If you are traveling and plan on driving a car, why bother with a hotel that almost definitely charges for valet or at least parking. Anyone who plans to explore the full Bay Area will love this spot. You are in range of everything in San Francisco, including a beautiful drive through Pacifica. You are also in range of many beach areas south and only 45min from Santa Cruz - we even spent a day in Monterey. Half Moon Bay is also worth a stay on its own merits, with great food and beaches - from the house you can walk to 3-4 amazing restaurants and the beach if that’s your main thing. The downtown has another handful of great restaurants only 5min away. The house is beautiful and clean. We stopped at the local farmers market on Saturdays for fresh fruit and made a few meals in house. The rooms are great, also clean, and plenty of room for up to a family of five or six. Brian provided plenty of towels, dishes, anything you could need. We would love to come back. This was one of the best house rentals we’ve ever stayed in.

Great property and great host!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Brian's beautiful property! The house was so clean and spacious and well stocked with everything we needed. The backyard was a great little private escape with a hot tub, comfortable seating and inviting lighting. The view of the ocean from the front windows was an added bonus. The location was close to restaurants, groceries and other amenities. We loved it so much we wanted to stay longer! Just as important as the property is the host and one of things I consider when picking a place to stay. Brian was an excellent host. From the very beginning, Brian was extremely responsive, helpful and friendly. We so appreciate his attentiveness. Thank you, Brian! We highly recommended this place!

A lovely find

This place is very ample. Lots of stuff for kids to do, but well appointed. Being able to see the water from the house was awesome, and the location is really great. We used it as a hub for trip to San Fran and Monterey, but we also spent some time right there. Half Moon Bay is a cute town, but right by the house is a surfers’ beach and great places to enjoy the coast. Hot tub was awesome too, except now the kids want one! Brian was a great host and very communicative.

Beautiful

Great house in a very good location. House has been beautifully updated, the master bathroom is like a spa. Cute back yard area to hang out with a large hottub. Close to downtown HMB and the Marina. Would stay again and will most likely make this a yearly getaway.
