Chalet très confortable pour toute la famille, grand-père, parents, adolescents et petits enfants. Nous avons passé de très bons moments dans ce magnifique domaine skiable de Grindelwald et les moments de détente au soleil sur le balcon de chalet étaient fort agréables. Le chalet est bien alénagé avec tout le confort nécessaire, la cuisine est parfaitement adaptée pour le nombre de convives. L'ambiance y est très agréable. La montée pour accéder au chalet peut être périlleuse sans chaîne s'il neige. Mais nous n'avons eu aucun problème car la route était bien déneigée pendant notre séjour.

Magnifique chalet avec vue imprenable sur l’Eiger !
Nous sommes trois familles et avons passé une semaine magnifique dans ce superbe chalet où l’on trouve tout le confort nécessaire. Aucune remarque négative, à part l’accès très pentu : en cas de neige, les chaînes sont indispensables ! Le domaine skiable est magnifique et accessible en moins de trois minutes en voiture. Nous ne pouvons que recommander ce chalet.

The photos of the property do not do it justice. It is FANTASTIC. We celebrated my 60th birthday with a trip to our beloved Grindelwald. My 86 year old dad traveled with us. We got a hotel by the train station (the Derby) at which we've enjoyed staying on previous trips. He would not have handled the 45 steps to Chalet M very well. The steps are worth the effort, however, as the views are spectacular. The walk from the Terminal is lovely if not steep :). We had a fabulous time at Chalet M and would unreservedly recommend it!

Wundervolles Haus im Alpenchic
Ein wunderschönes, sehr grosszügig und modern eingerichtetes Ferienhaus, das durchgehend und gekonnt im geschmackvollen Alpenchic daherkommt. Die Küche ist umfassend eingerichtet und bietet mit einem grossen Gasherd einen tollen Arbeitsplatz für mundende Familienessen. Im Essraum steht ein unglaublicher Nussbaum(?)-Tisch - etwas nur annähernd ähnliches haben wir bisher in noch keinem anderen Ferienhaus gesehen. Auf drei Stockwerken verteilt befinden sich vier vollwertige Schlafzimmer mit hervorragenden Boxspring-Betten und auf jedem Stockwerk ein grosses, modernes Bad mit z.T. separatem WC. Aus jedem Zimmer sieht man direkt auf den Eiger mit Mittellegigrat und Nordwand. Dank der Lage auf der Nordseite des Tals ist das Haus den ganzen Tag durch besonnt. Die Zufahrt zum Haus ist zwar steil, aber liegt umso privater an einer nur für Anlieger befahrbaren Strasse. Alle Informationen von Nathan, die wir vor Antritt der Reise erhalten hatten, waren liebevoll hergerichtet, korrekt und vollständig. Das Haus war sehr sauber gereinigt, alle Betten mit schöner weisser Bettwäsche bezogen, mehr als ausreichend Duschtücher vorhanden und auf jedem Bett liebevoll eine kleine Schokoladentafel einladend hingelegt. Ein grosses Kopliment an die Reinigungsfirma - auch das ist nicht überall selbstverständlich! Trotz etwas durchzogenem Wetter (da gibt's in den Alpen halt auch im Sommer keine Garantie :-)) haben wir eine absolut fantastische Woche in diesem tollen Ferienhaus verbracht. Wir werden gerne wieder einmal hier unsere Ferien verbringen!

Just perfect
The communication with Nathan was perfect. Very helpful and with quick response. We are a group of three families, 6 adults and 5 kids ( 5 to 14 years old) and are going on holiday about twice a year for the last 7 years and we all agreed THIS was the best place we ever had. Beds comfy, view perfect, pots and pans and raclette and cutlery etc. not counted - there was more than enough of everything. We hate it, if there are exactly the number of glasses, plats etc. for the number of people the house is advertised). The bedrooms are nicely decorated with lots of storage- big cupboards. The bathrooms are all new with everything one needs ( hairdraiers etc). The house has been decorated with lots of attention to details. You can see in every single corner, that the owners wanted to make it a special place for them self and we are glad they are willing to share it with us! There are two covered parking places under the house. Since we had a lot of snowfall the week we stayed in the chalet, we were glad to have 4WD cars. You can walk to the skiing facilities, but because of the steep climb back up to the chalet after skiing we took the cars. There is free parking close to the station where the train to the Kleine Scheidegg leaves from. Otherwise it’s 5 SFR. We definitely recommend Nathan’s exceptionally nice chalet and would love to come back. ( The review might sound a bit over the top, but it really is the perfect place)

Superb property, situated very conveniently for mountains, shops, cable cars etc. We thoroughly enjoyed our second stay at the chalet. It was every bit as good as we remembered it. Happy to go back any time.

Lovely Swiss Alps home near Grindewald with all the amenities you need to have good family time while visiting the mountains. The driveway is steep and the home is not best for walking to/from town, but the charm of the house makes up for the distance from town. Great kitchen for cooking! Good quiet sleeping house!

Chalet M is an impeccably appointed residence with sweeping views of all the majesty the region offers. Location is an easy distance to town and transportation with the challenging gradations of the different paths posing a good warmup to all the activities available to you. Nathan was professional, responsive and overall great in communications leading up to and during the stay. Highly recommended!

Amazing!
We rented Chalet M May 17-24. There were 10 of us ranging in age from10- 79. We had a wonderful time. The chalet is even more beautiful and the view of the Eiger more stunning then the pictures show. The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, glasses and any other utensil you may need. Our favorite surprise was seeing the raclette ovens and we had a very memorable farewell dinner. There are enough bathroom linens and if you need to wash there is a washer and dryer. Nathan is a gem to work with and always gets back to you if you have questions. While planning our stay there were so many chalets to choose from. I will save you some time and tell you to rent this one. You will not regret it!

Super schönes Chalet mit exklusiver Ausstattung, vor allem die Inneneinrichtung geschmackvoll mit hochwertigen Materialien und schicke Möbel, großer 8-Flammen-Gasherd und Küche mit Geschirr für große Gruppen. Gasherd zum Grillen, leider für Sommeraufenthalte keine Terrasse auf der man mit mehreren Leuten sitzen kann, dafür große Balkons vis-a-vis der Eiger-Nordwand!

Great chalet but bedding not set up for more than 10
The chalet is in a great spot with nice views. Kitchen and living area is great. The upper room that is the master lacks a shower and the bathroom is not the best layout for functionality. Other three rooms are good. Smaller room upstairs has limited ceiling height. There are lots of stairs to reach the chalet (48). We were 11 people and there were beds for 10 although it says 12 people. We used the upstairs sofa but had no linens. Not a single extra blanket, sheet or pillow in the house. No set of towels for the 11th person. Communication with owner was delayed 2-3 days so nothing could be done to remedy the linen situation. We could call the house cleaner but they only spoke German. We were due to leave by 9 AM (an early checkout time) and the cleaners were outside waiting at 8:30 AM. Felt very rushed. Overall a nice spot but wish we had linens/towels for all guests.

WHAT A HOUSE, WHAT A VIEW !!!
Our large family truly enjoyed our time spent during the end of June in this beautiful chalet. The steep road up to the chalet took some getting used to, but the unobstructed view of the alps from that vantage point almost made me want to stay and gaze at them for our entire stay...absolutely breathtaking! All the furnishings in the house were top notch and my favorite was the beautiful wood dining table, or was it the large beautiful kitchen? Our family watched the world cup together, danced together, dined together, played card games together, and made many beautiful memories in this beautiful chalet. I'm sure if you rent this chalet, you'll love it too. Be aware that the top floor bedroom with the twin beds has a slant ceiling making it difficult to stand upright and walk around if you are average adult height and also there is a small apartment that other guests, although quiet, were staying in beside our bottom floor bedroom.

Toller Blick auf das Tal und die Eigernordwand, im Hintergrund hört man Kuhglocken und ganz leise einen Bach rauschen. Die Wohnung ist sehr gut ausgestattet. Idealer Ausgangsort für Wanderungen oder Mountainbike Touren. Zur Bushaltestelle und zum Bahnhof läuft man nur ca. 10min, sodaß wir 1 Woche keinmal das Auto brauchten. Super schön, gerne wieder.

Beautiful residence with all the comfort you can imagine
The chalet has it all; nice furniture, warm, mega TV area for kids, romantic fireplace, lovely bedrooms and even a gym. Bring a 4 wheel drive or chains with snow; the last road (50m) to the chalet is steep. The only reason not to give it a 5 star rating is because of the distance to the skitrain. It takes longer than expected but if you don't have a problem with that it is perfect. Communication & instruction was easy and loud & clear.

Quintessential Switzerland
We had an amazing time at Chalet M! The location is absolutely spectacular!! From the view out the window, to the spacious comfort inside to the tinkling cowbells on the hill you will never forget you are in Switzerland!! The chalet was well equipped in terms of kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms and beautifully furnished. Nathan, the owner was also very helpful with any questions prior to the trip. I would recommend Chalet M to anyone who is looking for a stay in Switzerland!

Superb situation and wonderful property
Very clean, spacious and well equipped property - enjoyed by our party of 11, with ages ranging from 6 to 74. It never felt crowded or cramped with that number of people. The three children, after a hard day's walking, particularly enjoyed the spacious mezzanine room with the large TV and huge sofa to sprawl on. The bedrooms were spacious and the huge beds extremely comfortable - all rooms having views of the mountains was a special bonus. We constantly went out on the balconies from all rooms to check that the view was still there, and not just a figment of our imaginations! Easy access by foot to Grund railway station and cable car, and to Grindelwald centre, so there's hardly a need to use the car once you get there. Would heartily recommend it!

Property is amazing. views breath taking.
My father was Swiss so I wanted to give my family a vacation in the Swiss alps. Plenty of room for 5 adults and 3 children. Fabulous view of a the mountains and located near many exciting attractions. Owner had a crib and high chair for the 20 month old. Large well equipped kitchen. Owner was very responsive to some minor issues we had. I hope we can go back again some day.

Great place to spend a vacation with a large family
Spacious and beautifully appointed Chalet with incredible views of the mountains. Some distance away from the center of Grindelwald, so shopping or eating out is a hike. Parking at the chalet is tight, particularly if you arrive in full size vans.

Perfect position, setting and facilities.
Just a perfect holiday. Chalet is so well equipped (apart from lack of a kettle), we could not have wished for anything better. We would thoroughly recommend this property and would love to return as soon as possible.

PERFECT IN EVERY WAY
From the time we started looking into renting this property, to the end, with all the time in between, our experience was perfect. The owner and their local "on site" colleague were so kind and nice to work with. You really don't need to leave this home. The view and setting are so beautiful. You could just sit outside on the balcony and enjoy the mountains. The home is absolutely off the charts. From the setting, to the beautiful living and sleeping areas, it does not get any better. Plus, you are just a very short walk from the center of Grindelwald.

Thank you so much for your warm comments! We're really happy you enjoyed so much Chalet M! The view indeed is something from out of this world. I could stare all day at that North Face of the Eiger :-)
