5* ? Sérieusement ? L’hôtel est bien décoré. Mais le service est inexistant (vous devrez par exemple porter vos bagages depuis le parking situé à 10 minutes de l’hôtel). Pas de restaurant ni de bar. Salle de Bain décrépie. Dommage l’endroit est plein de charme. Certainly not a 5*. No service, no bar, no restaurant. Worn out bathroom. Too bad it would be a charming place

Dear Diana, thank you for staying with us. Let me please inform you that we are a 5* hotel. Maybe not the 5* resort hotel that you though but we are a boutique hotel located in the heart of the old Venetian Harbour close to everything you would like to see of to eat or to drink. the parking is an issue you are right but in every Old Town around the Europe vehicles are prohibited and that's the nice of walking around the port without worried about cars. We are very sorry to read that you did not enjoyed your stay in a Historical building like this. I hope that next time you will be more lucky in booking a resort hotel outside the Old Harbour. Superbe vue sur le port de La Canee, belle chambre et personnel adorable. Restaurant bruyant juste en bas mais ça ne nous a pas empêchés de dormir !

Excellent séjour à l'hôtel Ambassador, situé sur le port de la Chanée, ravissante petite ville ancienne. Propriétaire et personnel très accueillant et disponible. Nous étions dans la suite Porcelaine, très grande et calme, dotée aussi d'une baignoire jacuzzi. Si vous préférez le calme à la vue sur le port, préférez une chambre à l'arrière de l'hôtel.

nous avons été chanceux car des notre arrivee, nous avons bénéficié d'un surclassement avec vue sur port. chambre décorée avec gout (tres inspirant), localisation de l'hôtel parfaite, sur le vieux port, conseils du proprietaire sur les adresses de restaurants, que du bon. pour nous, 2 petits bémols vite oubliés : parking assez loin et biz nocturne intense sous les fenêtres mais l'hôtel est tout de même bien isolé, on recommande !

Situation magique pour ce bel hôtel
Cet hôtel est magique! Nous avions réservé la suite céramique qui nous proposait une terrasse de 50m² avec une vue exceptionnelle sur le port de La Canée. Seul petit défaut, la situation de l'hôtel au coeur de la vie nocturne de La Canée le rend un peu bruyant le samedi soir. Des boules quies auraient été bienvenues.

The property is beautiful, with spacious clean rooms. The staff is nice. We had an urban facing room just a few steps above ground level, and the noise level at night made it very difficult to sleep. Lot of people hanging out until 2–3 AM right outside our room. The location of the hotel is great in old town so it’s a trade off. Our flight arrived late at night and the middle of the night check-in turned into an adventure. We had to carry large suitcases down 50 steps to reach the hotel and then carry them up to reach the hotel elevator. Best to have the hotel arrange for airport pickup with a driver that knows the area. Our taxi driver had no clue how to get to the port level so he dropped us off 2 blocks away and 50 steps above the hotel property.

My wife and I had an amazing 3 night stay at The Ambassador’s Residence Hotel. The suite has amazing harbor views, the hotel is on the waterfront in the Old Town so walking distance to a huge array of restaurants and stores. Maria and the hotel staff were extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, setting up restaurant, car, and walking tour bookings and making our whole stay tremendously enjoyable. A really great hotel and experience. Well done!

Stunning and charming hotel!
What a gem! Staff was very sweet and helpful and my room....I took a video and sent it to my friends back in the US. I truly enjoyed this hotel in every way. The complimentary breakfast was TOP NOTCH. I've never had a breakfast so wonderful! My room (Fabric) was absolutely adorable with an amazing view of the water. I slept with my window open all night and enjoyed the sound of the water. 100% book a stay here. As an American used to "chain" hotels, I cannot say enough about this hotel! I will be back and I will bring friends!

The property itself was beautiful. The people who work at the hotel were very helpful. The major issue I had is that the closest parking was a 1/2 mile away. We were not even able to drop our luggage off at the door or close to the hotel. In addition to this the reception area was on the second floor and the stairs were narrow and hard to navigate.

Fantastic property. Newly renovated. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Paid for a harbor view and got upgraded to a suite with a sun sitting area of windows with a majestic view of the harbor. Even though the city is lively to late hours, the windows and shades provide a very quiet rest. They also have a great arrangement with Pallas restaurant. I paid for breakfast included but all meals are nicely done. Be sure to ask for help with other restaurant reservations - everyone is eager for you to enjoy the best (and let them fight the mean gatekeepers that will always tell you the place is too busy until 1030). Spend more time here - Chania is much much nicer than Heraklion. My one funny issue is that the fancy hardwood platform that the bed is on sticks way out and I massacred my feet and ankles smashing into it multiple times a watch out!!

We loved our stay! Staff so friendly and helpful. We were given a free upgrade and had a balcony overlooking the harbour. We enjoyed sitting there to watch the amazing sunsets. Room so comfortable and clean. The Cretan breakfast was delicious, portions are huge. I would definitely come back and stay. The location is fabulous and its not noisy like further along the harbour. Loved our 5 nights here!

Amazing hotel, definitely stay here in Chania!!!
This was the first stop on our honeymoon and absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough great things about the hotel altogether which includes the room, staff, location and breakfast! We were in love with our room which was a junior suite with a sea view...so much so that we actually chose to lounge around in the alcove that overlooks the lighthouse (and we never normally spend time in our hotel rooms whilst on vacation). I didn’t see any of the other rooms but I would highly recommend the one we stayed in due to the expansive windows which were incredible. We loved the proximity to all of the amazing restaurants and bars, and there was a great beach less than a ten minute cab ride from the hotel which the staff helped arrange, in addition to our rental car which we used to get from Chania to Agios Nikolaous. Thank you to Ambassadors Residence for setting a great standard for the rest of our honeymoon!

We had a rental car and we made every attempt to get to the hotel but all the streets around the hotel were blocked. We were informed in a very curt manner that we need ignore the barricades and go around them so WE can unload our bags. We would then have to go find public parking somewhere in the city and walk back. We decided not to stay. I highly do not recommend for travelers with vehicles.

Beautiful room, unique hotel on edge of Old Harbour. Great location. Spotless room. Great breakfast at cafe nearby. The only complaint is that a couple of staff were very dour and almost unwelcoming. One young lad was friendly and warm.

Excellent location right on the harbour with beautiful views from our room out onto the yachts in the harbour. Our room was stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. The staff were helpful in organising a tour to see Samaria gorge.

喜歡酒店位置非常棒方便，房間寬暢干净整潔，床上用品很舒服，但盖的被很薄，可我又不觉得冷。迷你式陽台好贊灯塔夜景和Venetian Harbour 就在眼前。前台服務員態度友善熱情，有問必答绐我更好建議，让我順利訂到去圣托尼里船票，推薦好餐廳讓我吃到喜歡的海鮮美食，早餐雖然是在樓下旁邊的餐廳，但很享受在Venetian Harbour用膳的這種感覺。有留言酒店需要到機場接機，司機很准時到達機場，當然自己另付費，工作人員也把我的行李拿到樓上，離開時拿下來，前台為我打電話召的士等等·⋯⋯非常感謝！印象很好，下次還會再來。

The worst staff I have ever met
I stayed 4 days there for my trip. The hotel was not bad, but one of the hotel staff is the worst I have ever met. We arrived there at 11pm. We asked how to part before arrival, and thet told to stop the square near the hotel to drop the luggauage and callthe hotel to pick the lugguage up. The parking area was far from the hotel. We parked at the free parking area and went to the hotel directely. The hotel has some steps so I said the staff to help the lugguage move. But the staff golden haired said she caould not help us. Then she just came down the stairs and help 1 lugguage to move to the lift. We had 3 luggauges. She was very unkind while all of my stays. The other staffs were good, but just 1 staff was the worst. The hotel has no parking lot so it was inconvient but I will not go there again because of the staff!!!

We are located in the heart of the Old Venetian Harbour and as in every old city in the Europe Chania old city is also restricted area for cars. We understand your parking issue but we are sure that next time you will handle it better that the locals. I am sorry to hear that you weren't satisfied with the competence of our front desk team.
