I expected rustic cabin but I didn’t see that it did not have electrics or running water. I didn’t expect big gaps in the wall boards that allowed you to look through the walls of the cabin. « The house is comfortable, clean, and well stocked. Vrbo has this house not far from Bar Harbor, but it is actually a bit over an hour drive. We didn't mind the drive, but you should at least be aware. The house is, however, not far from Schoodic and Winter Harbor, which also allows you to experience much of the same hikes, water sports, etc. as Bar Harbor. »
