"My stay in May was unfortunately catastrophic, mainly because of several serious issues. On the day of our departure, a housekeeper woke us up at 8 a.m. to clean the room, which was particularly unpleasant. We also had a plumbing problem that caused water to flood the bathroom floor. On arrival, the toilet flush was not working, and we had to call a repairman to fix it. However, my most recent stay in August was absolutely fantastic, and this was probably largely due to the fact that I was given one of the renovated rooms. The welcome was perfect, and the receptionist greeted me in French — a big thank you to her for that! The room was clean, well laid out, and very quiet. I was also very happy to see that it had a shower rather than a bathtub, unlike the older rooms still found in the hotel. It is clear that the renovation has brought a real upgrade in terms of comfort and quality. The only minor negative point was that the plumbing made some noise after the toilet was flushed, but this was a very small issue compared with the overall quality of my stay. Overall, I am really satisfied with my most recent experience and very pleased to see the improvements made to the hotel. The renovated rooms make a real difference!"

"Attention c'est hôtel n'a pas de restaurant, il est situé dans une zone calme au centre avec peu de restauration autour, c'est le seul point négatif."

"L’hôtel est sympa et superbement placé à Grassmarket et proche de tout. Certains personnes à l’accueil sont très bien mais d’autres passent du temps à bavarder en renseigner certes d’autres clients mais on attend longtemps sans que la personne soit alertée. Le matin on m’a fait patienter pour la salle de sport qui ouvrait dans 5 minutes et la personne juste derrière moi qui venait pour la même chose se voit attribuer la carte d’accès avec une autre personne de la réception….sinon le personnel au breakfast est très bien et le buffet est très bien. Les chambres n’ont pas de climatisation et il fait très chaud malgré le fait que l’hôtel fournisse des ventilateurs. Bref cela reste un bon séjour"
