Camp was located as advertised and was really nice. Only complaint was that the lights on pier did not work so the night fishing, main reason for going, was not good. Other than that really loved the camp and view.

Stayed here with a group of friends and we all really enjoyed it. Everything you needed was there and it was very close to beach crossover #4. Wish the fishing pier would have been completed but we knew in advance it wouldn't be. We be going back once the pier is completed to enjoy.

Inside was fresh & new. The large area facing the water could use some blinds to control evening sun. Clean & roomy. Like a lot of the Island, the yard still needs some clean up. The week before the owner let us know that the pier was not repaired yet. When that is completed this is a 5 star bay side property

Sorry for no blinds. We had blinds before the construction crew showed up. They must have not hung them or threw them away. We will get some ASAP. Thanks for the review! Don

Week getaway
The property was very clean and well equipped. Had everything we needed form the kitchen to even a burner and tank to do a fish fry. The dock was great for crabbing and fishing, when we were there we were doing a couple of charters but the weather didn't cooperate and we mostly fished off the dock and caught some nice trout and a few crabs on hand lines. Overall a very nice camp that was clean and well equipped. Would recommend.

Great Camp on the Bay
Great camp. Very updated for Grand Isle. Dock was great for little ones to fish and crab off of. All appliances were updated and TVs were smart with all the apps you need. Beds were a little uncomfortable but overall it was a great setting and location for a great weekend. Would definitely book again.

You cannot beat this location for the views and quick boat access.
We arrived to find the home in great shape and updated with everything working as it should. The views in the evening with the sunset you'll never forget. Dock was in great shape with lots of places to tie up your boat. We had a great time and definitely recommend Grand Smile.

We had a great time at Grand Smile. It had all the amenities you would need to make your stay comfortable. Kitchen had everything you need to cook all your meals. We did not find a lot of restaurant options so it was nice to be able to cook everything there. The pier is awesome and right out the back of the house. The house was sparkly clean. We would visit again!

Absolutely beautiful inside and out. Tried to reach the owner regarding TV not working and no WIFI and no lighting on stairs and never got a callback. Bachelor party next door took away from the tranquility and peaceful nights sleep.

Hurricane zeta!!!
Hurricane zeta didn’t help matters ! It came right on us . I’m from the south I’ve been in my share of rough storms. Grand isle La was tore up pretty bad , Mr Don R.Was a ware where staying! We had food water ! But we lost electricity the whole Island did , so only a half of our stay , 30 plus no electricity but we had candles. We walk the roads! Not a pretty site. The cabin that WE WERE IN DID NOT EVEN LOOSE A SCREW during the whole time of the hurricane ! Mr Don R.work out a great Understanding deal with us . WE Will BE BACK WITHOUT A DOUBTS AT THIS CABIN NEXT YEAR , Thank you Mr Don !

The pier was wonderful! Very convent for our bay boat, & fishing. Lots of cooking pots, utensils,
It didn’t look like all beds were clean sheets. The flooring has loose planks in kitchen. The dishwasher is difficult to start. The front bath and bunk bedroom rooms has mold on ceilings, and around shower. The coffee table is weak This place could use some maintence. We loved having 3 full baths, and large open space for family. Loved the balcony swing and table to look over the water. Nice fish cleaning station and outdoor shower downstairs.

Grand Smile is the perfect place to enjoy all Grand Isle has to offer you can dock you boat on the pier, fish and crab off the pier and walk to the beach. The camp is fully stocked with everything you might need. Look forward to coming back.

The listing of the camp was very accurate. The place was very clean and the property owner was very easy to work with. We went down a little early to fish before check in and we were granted access to the property to park our vehicles and leave out ice chests. The Pier was also a huge bonus. Very nice and convenient. Would definitely recommend this property to others.

Great camp for fisherman and kids! Dock on site has instant access to bait, fishing, and crabbing. Awesome for boaters to dock. Comes with just about everything to cook, boil, fry, etc. Property owner is very attentive and helpful to your needs!

We had a large group for my Bachelor Trip. The camp was very nice, clean, spacious. Spectacular views and great fishing from the pier. The one downside would be during the busy season. The camp next door sleeps 20 and shares the pier, if fishing the lights it can be a little cramped with both camps full. Needless to say our experience was a Grand Smile!

We had a fabulous time. The house was clean and more than ample for 10 people. Rooms had comfortable beds. Kitchen had everything we needed. The dock was great only thing to make it better would be to have water down by the boat dock. Definitely will be coming back. Even some friends stopped in who were renting somewhere else and got the info to rent it’s that nice.

Beautiful Camp but Bad experience
The owners really need to adjust their refund policy. A hurricane was hitting the island when we were supposed to go and the island was closed till Sunday. They refused to refund us. I had to call them multiple times and the phone went to voicemail and she never returned my call. The times I called the husband a toddler answered. When we got there everything was closed. We actually got yelled at by locals for daring to ask where we could get bait when they were "coming out of a hurricane". We tried to go to the beach which was riddled with glass and debris even used hygiene products and broken bottles. A waste of money.Beautiful Camp though. But we won't use them again. Good luck to following renters . Hope your experience is much better.

I’m so sorry, but this is not the truth. We did speak on the phone. Your husband said he still wanted to go and that he was fine with visiting. The island was open and there was no damage. I’m so sorry that items were on the beach, that is totally out of our control. You are the 1st person to ever leave less than a 5 star, so I am sorry about that. I am also sorry my son answered my husbands phone. I wish you would have had a better time.
