Awesome experience!
Wonderful property and host! Great memories made with our granddaughter and two great grandchildren. We have stayed at many VRBO homes in different states. This home tops them all. Well appointed kitchen with everything we could have possibly needed. The beds had wonderful mattresses and the master bedroom had a great view of the lake! Great communication with our host. Would definitely stay there again!

Such a cute cottage! Plenty of room with great outdoor setup, so much covered patio space which was great since a bit a bad weather last weekend. The house is equipped with everything you could possibly need. Husband caught 4 fish off the dock. Loved it!

Relaxing by the lake
We had such a relaxing, fun weekend at Firefly Cottage! It is clean and the decor is sweet and kitchen was fully loaded. Because it was just us older gals, it was nice that it was a gated community—we felt safe. Granbury is a nice little town with a lot to offer. We had a great time at the wonderful Firefly Cottage!

Firefly Cottage
This place gets 10 out of 10! Everything was exceptional! The house was beautifully decorated, spotless clean, it has everything you need except your clothes and food. My group was very impressed. We are all hoping to plan a family vacation and stay again soon.

The property was small but lovely. Beautifully furnished and decorated. Plenty of kitchen equipment and dishes. Dock area was peaceful with plenty of chairs. The only small complaint was one of the bedrooms did not have access to a restroom without going through one of the other 2 bedrooms. Overall, highly recommend.

Cozy cottage getaway
We had a very relaxing Spring Break weekend at the Firefly Cottage. Carolyn is very good with her communication throughout this entire process. The cottage is located in a quiet place at the back of the gated community. We enjoyed watching the ducks on the water and my boys had fun using the peddle boat daily. The beds were comfortable and the cabin provided all we needed and more!

My husband, youngest daughter and I wanted a little get away. This was perfect! The house was clean and adorable! We spent almost all of our time sitting in the dock, reading and enjoying the beautiful view!!!

Perfect weekend celebration for my family
Perfect lake house. The dock was great and the ambience with the lights and the fire pit was nice! The inside was comfortable and the kitchen had everything you could ever want. Carolyn was the best hostess! Every one of us wants to go back again.

Perfect Getaway
My sister and I surprised our mom for her 75th birthday. The location was perfect. It was quiet and so peaceful being right on the water. It was a very cold weekend so we stayed inside but we hope to come back in the summer and enjoy all the outdoor activities. Inside, it was very spacious, decorated beautifully, cozy beds, and everything you could possibly need for entertainment and cooking. We had the best time! I loved all the outdoor lighting. The owner let us check in early and checked in on us which I thought was so sweet. We will definitely stay here again.

Cozy Lakeside Cottage
We decided to stay at the Firefly Cottage for a post holiday retreat with our parents since its near Granbury. The cottage was so cozy and festively decorated. Carolyn was a great host and provided the best hospitality during our stay. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with all of our cooking needs. We enjoyed the lakeside view and even built a fire in the provided fire pit. The beds were so comfortable. We can’t wait to return during the warmer months.

Wonderful !
We stayed at Firefly Cottage during the Christmas Holiday. It was very clean inside and out. The host decorated for the holiday and was available for anything we might have needed. I cannot say enough great things about the overall experience. We want to return in the summer and enjoy the all the outdoor amenities. A solid 5 review from our family !

Beautiful view
This is the 4th time we have been to Granbury. This is our favorite house so far. The view of the lake is amazing. It was only 15-20 from all our favorite places.

Wonderful Experience
Thanksgiving weekend with family. Enjoyed the location, the dock, the fire pit, the grill, and the corn hole. This is certainly a lake house and nothing fancy, but We really had a wonderful time together at Firefly. The lot is extensively tree covered. The dock is well lit and spacious and the view faces west so great sunsets. The covered patio is large and very usable (we played corn hole every night). The only (slight) negative is the size of the two bathrooms. This is the most stocked kitchen/pantry we've ever experienced in a short term rental. Communication with the owner was also excellent. All in all, we would return again.

Soccer and fishing
Decided to use VRBO for our son’s soccer tournament in Granbury instead of a hotel. We decided on the Firefly Cottage because it looked amazing and we could go fishing. The cabin was amazing. Clean with everything we needed to cook, keep kids entertained and have room for ourselves. The beds were very comfortable. Carolyn was a fantastic host, started communicating as soon as we booked the rental. We will going this route for now on for tournaments, and if we are in Granbury, will try to get the Firefly Cottage.

Girls weekend
Cute, comfy, quiet, and easy to find lake house. Close enough to town. Very relaxing, and my fav was sitting on the dock with friends, and making s'mores in the fire pit.

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage despite the rain for the 2 days we were there. The place has everything you need and is a great place on the lake. We will definitely be back another time to enjoy boating and fishing.

Weekend Getaway
Lovely cottage on the lake. Our 8 yr old daughter and her friend really enjoyed the paddleboat, as well as the adventure exploring in nearby Dinosaur Valley State Park. Spot on recommendations for eating - Loco Coyote and Firehouse Cafe. Thank you, Carolyn for being a helpful and gracious host!

Perfect time.
The property is kept up nicely and there was nothing lacking for a couple or a family. EVERYTHING inside was immaculately clean and comfortable. There were Indoor and outdoor games, WiFi, streaming services and other activities available. The neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and access to the water was ideal. We are definitely looking forward to a repeat visit. Had to make one call to the owner, which was completely my fault, but she answered promptly and was very courteous.

2nd trip to Fire Fly Cottage
This was our second trip to Fire Fly cottage. We stayed 10 days and had a great time. Granbury is a cute place with very friendly people. Carolyn has very helpful. The kitchen was stocked with every thing you could possibly need. We will return again. The Teel family

Stay on the lake for my Mom
It was the last week before my Mom started chemo and my daughter and I wanted her to have a nice, peaceful week. She absolutely loved it. Everything you could ever want or need is in this home. Sitting on the dock, I took the most amazing pictures. It will be a memory of a lifetime and we really hope to be able to take my mom back again. 🙏🙏

This is a great place especially it you have a boat or rent one! The kitchen is the best out-fitted kitchen I’ve ever rented, so if you want to be able to cook this is perfect. The beds were comfy and the home very cute. The owner is very responsive to questions. I would love to go back in a bit cooler weather and rent a boat with our grandkids! I think they would love it!

Our favorite get-a-way
This was our 3rd time staying at firefly cottage. We love being in the water on our floats to beat the TX heat and the swing is a big plus! Cottage is equipped with everything we needed for cooking as we ate every meal there. Would definitely recommend firefly cottage!!

This cottage was perfect for our family!! We loved how close to town it was and the walk to the water from the cottage was perfect!! Our kids had a blast on the paddle boat and rope swing. They caught a couple of catfish off the dock. It was really hot but the air conditioner worked great in the house. We had everything we needed! We will definitely be back! Lake Granbury is beautiful and close to the square where you can visit wineries and catch a ghost tour! There's so much to do!!

Wonderful Cottage and Great Host
The Firefly Cottage was perfect for our July 4 long weekend. We try to get family together for this weekend every year but busy schedules make it a challenge. One son and one grandchild joined for one night. Didn't plan on the dog but last minute changes were easily and graciously accommodated by Carolyn. Other friends joined us for two other nights and we all had a great time. Small issue was addressed quickly and completely by Carolyn which was greatly appreciated and worked around our schedule which was perfect. Mostly enjoyed sitting morning, noon and night on the deck but was very hot so enjoyed the lovely living room for a break from the heat. We will definitely be back! ADDED NOTE FROM OUR GUESTS WHO VISITED WITH US..."We had a great time in this cozy house. The owner's have put an amazing amount of time and energy into decorating every room with a different lake theme. It was a comfy addition to a great 4th of July!". Thanks again!

We had an amazing stay at Firefly Cottage! The property is immaculate, the beds are comfortable and the dock is large enough for a family to enjoy. There is plenty of parking. We really enjoyed our stay. There were only two problems we had with the inside of cabin. The shower was very difficult to get in and out of. The remote for the TV to watch in morning you could not get any local channels and the remote did not work properly. We enjoyed sitting outside in the evenings. We would have loved to go swimming but the lake was down and were nervous about getting in and out of lake. The inside was very nice and homey.

90th Birthday Party
This was our second stay at this property. We love this place. It’s not fancy but has a wonderful homey feel. Super clean and quiet. Excellent furniture, tv in every room and comfortable beds. We love the outdoor space! Enough outdoor chairs for all of us. As a family we have agreed that this is our lake house. Can’t wait to come back.

Great place. Kitchen has everything you could possibly want.
It was a brothers and sisters get together. We really enjoyed it. My brothers enjoyed fishing from the dock. Plenty of table and chairs outside to look out on the lake. House very clean. Kitchen well stocked with everything you could possibly need or want. Big TV’s in every room. Lots of games to play. We all played corn hole for the first time. We kind of made our own rules up at first. Beds very comfortable. Bedding light but kept you warm. The only trouble we had was the step down from kitchen to dining room. Our ages were 67 to 82 with bad knees. It was only one step but hard for us. Thank you for letting us stay there. Enjoyed it so much.

Anniversaries Weekend
Our daughters and their family joined us for a fun family weekend to celebrate our anniversaries which all occur in April. This trip was a high success! My son and I came here for a little father son bounding time. We brought our 2 Goldens. His dog is the father to my dog. They also had a great time. It was relaxing and very clean. Every amenity was thought of by the host. I just wish we could have caught some fish. They just weren’t biting.

Lovely Lake Cottage
We had a wonderful stay. The property is immaculate, lots of parking, a big covered porch and the dock is amazing. We had our kids and grandkids come for a day visit and it was great. The whole family could sit comfortably and fish off the dock. The view from the dock is beautiful. The cottage is stocked with all the extras. Carolyn, our host was wonderful. She checked in on us a couple of times to make sure we were enjoying our stay. We look forward to our next visit to Firefly!
