Location was fabulous as we stayed in cabin that sat on top of creek. The sounds lulled us to sleep. Housing around this lovely place left a lot to be desired though.
Loved staying at this inn again after 12 years. The innkeepers are very hospitable and the room was cozy and comfortable! I also enjoyed the breakfasts, which were substantial and tasty.
Charming owners, great place, definitely "in the middle of nowhere", but a good spot as a base for those who want to get out and explore various parts of the George Washington National Forest, as well as just to relax and have some down time. Only negatives - there's only one place to eat in town, a very basic diner, and the trains which pass at irregular hours day and night, rumbling through and shaking the building.
