A great welcome and a real pub environment. Food is excellent and the little town is a beauty to walk round. Bathroom facilities a bit basic but everything is there.

I was passing through the area and needed a cheap and cheerful place to rest my head for the night. This place was perfect. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The pub was open and serving food. The room was a bit tired, but it was clean. It is what they advertised, and I am happy with my stay there.

Very friendly staff. Made to feel welcome. Accommodation is behind the pub and we were free to come and go as we pleased. After a long journey, the curry restaurant upstairs was just what we wanted and still open despite a fairly late arrival.

Almost straight out of the car in to your room,every facility u need almost like a bed sit ,plenty of room full bathroom including bath. Definitely one to keep in your visit again list ,spot on ,thanks

Nice pub, dusty room, noisy neighbours/locals.
Room was extremely dusty. It appeared it had been cleaned a long time ago and then not used for quite a while. Other guests and people on the street were very noisy throughout the night.

We only stayed one night. The bed linen and bedroom was clean and warm. A fridge, kettle, wall heater, iron and TV provided. Delicious food served in the bar and restaurant. Staff were lovely, very helpful and welcoming - Thank you.

The rooms were good but in some instances could do with a refresh. They contained everything you need. The staff were very friendly and helpful. There was a generator or kitchen extractor close to the rooms which was making a constant noise all night. There was an excellent Indian Restaurant upstairs in the pub but the acoustics were very poor and on Friday night one table of sixteen was making a terrible noise so be warned.

A comfortable place with wonderful staff and food
Had a warm and friendly welcome, the food is amazing with the added bonus of having the choice of eating in the bar or upstairs in the indian restaurant. Both are wonderful. Lovely comfortable size bedfoom and bathroom, the walls are a little thin but thankfully the adjacent guests were courteous and respectful of others.

Nice little pub.
Not a bad little pub to stay in. Price for a double room was a reasonable price. I’ve stayed here 3 times and in different rooms. But the room that I stayed in this time the bed really does need a new mattress, extremely uncomfortable. In each of the room the showers could de with de-scaling. There is an Indian restaurant attached to the pub which is really good. I didn’t eat in the pub restaurant. Bar staff and really friendly and helpful.

Everything was great. The pub is totally pet friendly and the young lady behind the bar was the perfect host. The cleaning staff were fabulous and really helpful. Because the weather was so hot, and the room had no air conditioning I would probably get an upstairs room next summer (or this!) because it was very warm at night!

Rooms were very basic but spotlessly clean. The restaurant shuts at19:30 and although they do mention breakfast was available, I was told there was No breakfast in the morning. Unfortunately all of the eating places in the town also shut at 19:30 so if you are later in arriving or have an early starter you will struggle to eat. I would not stay here again

we booked a non smoking king size room, however there was just one window, which has a bench just outside for smokers. there was snail trail on the carpet, The on suite bathroom had no working fan, so all the condensation and smells have nowhere to go but in to the bedroom. the place smelt. just outside there was very loud fan by the kitchen which was left on the whole night. the bed quilt was 13.5 tog, (this is mid may). too hot to use and too cold not to use. we had a terrible night. i do like to support small business but my advise is go somewhere else.

Would use again.
Easy to find. Warm welcome, friendly staff, lovely big ground floor room. Able to park outside. Evening meal was plentiful, well cooked and great value. Only two downsides. Mould in bathroom needs addressing and mattress on double bed needs replacing, single bed was fine. Would use again.
