We picked the 1st floor because my husband has mobility issues only to find out the 2nd floor was ground level. No elevator meant he had to use the stairs often. We chose this hotel and city destination based on the availability of their jacuzzi suite. Upon check-in we were notified that jacuzzi in our room was not working and there were no others available. They offered to give us a partial refund but said they would need to get approval from the manager. The insulation must be terrible because you can hear every footstep and conversation that takes place in the hallways and neighboring rooms. We were also placed next to what looked to be a laundry facility, which sounded like it was in the room with us as the machines ran late into the night. It did at least drown out some of the noises coming from the neighbors. Our room was located along the walking path to the beach. Unfortunately, so was our bathroom window. The blinds in that window were only long enough to close leaving a 4-5" gap at the bottom. This was precisely crotch level if you were in bathroom and nicely eye level if you were a stranger out on the path. Ours was the only room on this floor that had this issue and the closest room to the path. Upon check out we were informed that because we booked through Expedia we would have to go through them for the partial refund. I contacted Expedia and they were happy to oblige but would need confirmation from the hotel management. They never got a response. Ghosted.

I sincerely apologize about the surrounding noise. If you ever have an issue at our hotel, please notify the Front Desk immediately. We want you to have a comfortable and restful stay. Sleep is an important factor in this! We do not want guests staying two nights in a room if they are not happy with it. We are more than happy to move you rooms or find some type of solution for you! There has been no written communication from Expedia in our system.

Room really needed updating, flat screen TV, better chairs for the balcony, new headboard. Biggest disappointment was the broken hot tub and pool. How often do both break at same time,? This information should be shared online. Food was good and bed was comfortable.

We arrived at the property on Christmas eve paying a premium for our jetted tub. To our surprise upon arrival, we were informed that the jetted tubs do not work. The sole purpose of doing a long trip was to enjoy the view with the jetted tub. With no other option left, we had to move forward with staying at the property without the amenities provided at the full price. If the facilities mentioned are not available then do not display them on your website and misguide someone’s expectations. Wifi is extremely poor and connectivity is poor.

Very tired room. We stayed the day after Christmas so not many guests. Quiet. Curtains in the room will let in plenty of light in the morning. You’ll be getting up with the chickens in the summer.

Good stay with our 2 dogs. Great deck with ocean views from 1st floor. Easy beach access. Very large rooms. Some tiles in room(101- pet friendly room) are broken. Furniture has some stains and lots of animal hair on them from previous guests, but we always travel with flat sheets just in case we feel the need to cover furniture.

Wet Dog Smell
We called ahead for a late check-in, then was asked to enter a back door where we squeezed through a narrow hallway lined with dirt and cigarette butts. The attendant was pleasant and accommodating with some towels. The room did not smell musty, so we opened the back door hoping the ocean breeze would air the room out. Tired, we headed to bed, we layed in bed overwhelmed by the musty smell (wet dog). We attempted to power through and fell asleep briefly, but we woke up with headaches and sick smells. We packed up and left at 3am, and called the office in the morning. The office staff was unapologetic, defensive, and rude. Never staying here again, better hotels down the road.

We got there after dark, there were kids running around outside being a bit loud, having fun but you could hear them inside the room. The room it's self had good, but wore furniture, the head board had extensive marks in it. The bathroom didn't seem very clean, the tub had remnants in it, the stopper didn't really work ,there was some mold on the roof, and the towels were stained. We did enjoy the view from the 3rd floor, we stayed up a while to watch the full moon on the water which ened up being a mistake because they started construction at 7:45 am on that Sunday 10/ 29 right next to our room. Which stated with a meeting that really upset their dogs at 7:20am

Very disappointed in this property. Firstly they charged us $30 to allow us access to our room 1.5 hours before check in (where was our credit for leaving 3 hours early the next day!?). The property is very worn out and run down. Not nearly up to snuff compared to other Best Westerns we’ve stayed at. Our trash can wasn’t even emptied when we arrived and orange peels were left on the floor. There is a beautiful view of the ocean but the night we were there it was unwalkable due to high tides that were very violent. Lots of noise throughout the hotel which kept us up. Breakfast next day was nice and they certainly tried some new things compared to other motels we’ve stayed at but overall we would never return as the place was really run down unfortunately.

Nice, but no air conditioning
Reasonably nice, older property. The room was clean. However, there is NO air conditioning in the room. When we arrived it was at least 85 degrees in the room. We open the terrace door and left to get supper. When we returned, it was still about 80 degrees. We slept with the terrace door open. It eventually cooled down, but having your door open all night doesn't give you a good feeling.

Our rooms face that sunset and it does heat up quite quickly during that time. I apologize that the rooms do not have ACs. Many of the older buildings on the coast were never built with ACs since the coast temperature is mostly cool throughout the year.
