Great friends trip
We really enjoyed our stay on the beautiful Black River. This home lends itself to relaxing with comfortable seating and a gorgeous view. We enjoyed the Wooden Boat Festival on Saturday in nearby Georgetown. This was a return trip from two years ago. Wonderful owners. Super clean. Loved it 100%

Lowcountry Boating adventure with family.
Tony was extremely nice and had a great place for my Family. Covered deck contained toddlers while giving adults a peaceful view of River. The house was very comfortable and clean. We hope to return again. Thanks Tony for sharing your place!

Awesome rental!
The house met and/or exceeded our expectations in every way based on the property description and prior reviews. Tony was available to answer questions but left us to enjoy the house and our stay in the Georgetown area. The house was very well equipped with all the normal amenities plus extra towels, blankets, etc., first aid supplies, hair dryers, gas and charcoal grills, cleaning supplies, kitchen utensils, etc. that you don't always find in rentals. The only thing that we noticed that could be improved was the water flow in the showers. I literally stood under the spray thinking "How long is it going to take to get my hair wet enough to apply the shampoo?" But the bottom line is that we would recommend this rental to anyone and will certainly use it again for our next Georgetown rental.

Always a GREAT Experience!
This is an absolutely fabulous place to stay. Tony and Debbie are outstanding hosts and the property is clean and well maintained. That's just the beginning! Morning coffee on the dock, sunsets from the deck overlooking the Black River, grilling steaks on the porch and such a quiet, relaxing environment. All of this within 20 minutes of historic Georgetown! This is truly a slice of heaven on the Black River, book it you will not regret it.

Fun at the retreat
We had a wonderful time at Tony and Debbie’s place, everything was super clean, the handwritten welcome note was kind, the property was easy to find and plenty of parking, the furniture was comfy, there were nice big towels not the thin tiny hotel type towel, but my favorite thing was access to put the boat in at the kind neighbors and the awesome deck overlooking the river!

You don't want to miss this experience
I could tell you how it felt to have a clean, spacious all inclusive, affordable vacation with family. I could tell you how it felt to sit on back lighted patio or the who family eating breakfast on the patio overlooking the black River. I could tell you how wonderful it was to fish on your own private Pier day and night whatever your pleasure is and actually watch the kids be overjoyed at actually catching fish But as I said this is a wonderful lifetime experience you don't want to miss or experience for yourself. Words could not describe it.

Great weekend at the Black River Retreat.
Perfect place for us to spend a long weekend. We brought our boat and the convenience of the boat ramp was a huge plus. Enjoyable ride to Georgetown and it was nice that they have public docks so we could easily get out for lunch and to explore the town. Would recommend off times to be sure there is a spot though. House was exactly as advertised. We spent the majority of the weekend on the dock and porch. Tony was always happy and quick to answer questions. We’ll be back!

Tony and Debbie are a great example of southern hospitality at its finest. The house and surrounding area was beautiful. The deck and dock area are great for relaxing and fishing. We are looking forward to returning again next year and hope to make it a yearly trip.

Black River ReTREAT!
My fiance and I stayed for the weekend with our 4 children! It was amazing! The kids had a blast on the water and fishing, and the owners Tony and Debbie are so warm and welcoming. Even took the kids on a "tour" of their house and brought them back with toys. Definitely looking forward to making this a yearly stop!

An Unforgettable Summer Retreat!
This property and location is definitely a retreat! The property is spacious and equipped with everything you need for a stay on the river. (In fact, we stayed for a full 3 months!) Some things that stood out to us: 1. The dock is not only perfect for swimming but was great for tying off our boat. 2. You won’t tire of those river views, especially if you love sunrise and sunsets. 3. This is one of the prettiest and quietest sections of Black River. The river is wider in this section so boats passing by typically don’t get too close to the dock. 4. Wi-Fi was exceptional! This was key for us as we had to work remotely during our stay. We both were in virtual meetings simultaneously while also streaming video and never had any connectivity issues. 5. The covered deck overlooks the river and is so deep that you rarely need to worry about getting wet during a summer thunderstorm. 6. You won’t find hosts as hospitable and accommodating. Thank you Mr. Tony and Mrs. Debbie for an amazing stay. We will see you next summer!

Beautiful Property on the Lake
This home was perfect for our trip to Georgetown. My husband and toddler had a great time. The views from the covered deck- AMAZING. You have access to your very own fishing dock, too. The house itself is very spacious with 3 large bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. The kitchen comes equipped with everything you need to make a meal. The living room has plenty of seating and a very nice fireplace, too. The owners are lovely and are very welcoming. This property is a short drive (15 minutes) to downtown Georgetown, where the streets are lined with stores, restaurants and a few ice cream shops! On the way to downtown there are two grocery stores- Food Lion and Walmart, so that was very convenient for us. We absolutely LOVED this trip and cannot wait to return.

Tony and Debbie’s place exceeded our expectations. It was super clean and comfortable. The location on the river and the decks and docks to enjoy it were amazing. The Historic Georgetown waterfront district was close. We appreciated the personal touches with the happy birthday sign and towel alligator! We will definitely be back!

Wonderful property to retreat from the world
Very wonderful experience for me and my friends to escape for a few days. Sitting on the porch and the dock were the highlight. We were going to kayak but just relaxing in the warm sun was too tempting. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

This place was adorable and absolutely perfect for our family! Our two boys (7 and 3) had such a great time at the treehouse as well. Between that and the river front views, we couldn't have asked for a better time. It's only a quick 10 min drive to the shopping/dining area and I highly encourage taking the trip there. We would love to come back and rent again, soon!

SUPERB HIDEAWAY HOME
This is without a doubt one of the best properties we have rented and we've been to quite a few homes in the previous years all over the country. The home was very clean and tidy, close to all activities we enjoy, and Tony is a true 'Southern Gentleman'. Being on the water our grandsons had a blast fishing. Quiet and Relax
Big thanks to Tony and Debbie. They are so nice and they respond fairly quick. Needed a mini vacation get away and this house was perfect! It was too cold for me and the children to be outside, but that did not stop my husband from fishing. The kids enjoy the tree house next door. Again this place is definiteley a great place to have peace and quiet and enjoy the beautiful scenary.

WOW.
The house fit our needs perfectly but what really stood out was the view. WOW is the only way to describe it, they have a beautiful dock and deck that look out onto the black river, we spent most of our time outside. There were little touches that just put this property above the rest, from the personalized welcome sign to the towel animals, we really felt welcomed into the home. This house is just close enough to Georgetown to make going out to eat convenient but they also have the perfect set up to cook or grill at the house. Thank you so much for your hospitality and for letting us use the boat ramp, that made our trip that much easier. Until next time!

Will Definitely Be Back!
We had SUCH a good time on our vacation to the Black River. Tony and Debbie were awesome. They made sure we felt like we were at home. You can tell by the little touches all throughout the house that they really want their guest to feel comfortable and at home. We brought our boat and were able to use Tony & Debbie's boat ramp, which is right next door to the property. The food in Georgetown was so good and we had a blast. If you want to go out for a night on the town but don't want to worry about driving we called the number one taxi and our driver was great! We will definitely be making this a yearly trip. The views from this property are amazing and we even caught a few good sized catfish from the dock.

Perfect spot to enjoy a week of fishing!
Me and my wife stayed 6 days for a fall Bull Red fishing trip in Winyah Bay. Had a great time, fishing was good and the food in Georgetown was awesome. Toney and Debbie were great hosts and went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Beautiful sunsets from the deck looking out over the Black River. Hopefully we will return next year to enjoy the fishing and peacefulness of this property!
