The apartment’s airy and high ceilinged open plan living area features a functional and stylish dining table, comfortable sofa and chairs, open kitchen and TV. The kitchen area, with attractive wooden surfaces, is equipped with an oven, gas stove, microwave, juicer and dishwasher.
Bedrooms & Bathrooms
The stylish master bedroom is bright and spacious. It contains a double bed with side tables and lamps, as well as plenty of storage space. The second bedroom also features a double bed with useful shelf and cupboard space. The sofa in the living area also opens out into a bed, allowing this property to sleep up to six people. The apartment has two bathrooms; one contains a bath with shower fitting, bidet, sink and toilet, and the other is equipped with a cubicle shower, bidet, sink and toilet. Linen, towels and bathroom essentials are all provided.
The Neighborhood:
Genova, or Genoa, sits on the Gulf of Genoa on the Ligurian Sea in the North western region of Italy. With a current central population of 588,000 and a greater metropolitan population of 1.5 million, Genova is the 6th largest city in Italy and also one of its most important economic centres. Castelletto, meaning ‘small castle’ in Italian, is a hilly, affluent residential area with plenty of history. Comprised of three urban areas, Castelletto, Manin and San Nicola, it is home to such locations of interest as the Albergo dei Poveri, a 17th century shelter for the poor now housing the political science faculty of the University of Genoa, and the Baroque sanctuary of Madonnetta, featuring Baroque artworks by the school of Giuseppe Gaggini, notably Giovanni Battista Paggiand and Anton Maria Maragliano.
Getting Around:
The international airport Genova, Cristoforo Colombo, is located about 7 km from the centre of Genoa. The historic centre of the city is perfect for walking about – in fact the streets are often too narrow for cars. Having said that, the bus system is extensive and a ticket is valid for 90 minutes. The public transport service in Genoa is run by a company called AMT. Genoa also has a subway system, indicated by a red M that currently has 8 stops. You will find automatic ticket machines in all the stations, valid for 90 minutes or the whole day. This property is located around 15 minutes’ drive or taxi from Principe station and approximately the same distance from the larger Genova Brignole station, which provides a variety of regional transport links.
