  • The Wild Winds est un paradis pour les amoureux de la nature toute l'année. Nous proposons de nombreux sentiers de randonnée et / ou de vélo. Profitez de la pêche, du canotage et de la détente sur le lac et la plage, à quelques pas de votre chalet rustique. Ou passez du temps dans notre étang privé (en fait un petit lac) niché dans les bois, où nous avons installé un quai pour la baignade en eau profonde et le canoë. Ou pour un peu plus d'excitation, les vents sauvages ne sont qu'à 7-8 miles du golf de classe mondiale, des magasins, des restaurants et d'autres lacs sportifs. Si vous aimez faire de courtes excursions d'une journée, vous pouvez aller à Petoskey pour voir le magnifique lac Michigan, ou passer votre journée sur l'île Mackinac.

    Cette maison en bois rond, "Honeymoon Cabin" dispose de 4 chambres et dort 8-9

    Ou pensez à notre autre location de vacances au Wild Winds: la cabine "Junior" peut accueillir de 6 à 10 personnes et dispose d'une cheminée! (voir homeaway. com # 368462).

    Les maisons en rondins sont juste sur le lac Wequas, et notre beau lac privé n'est qu'à quelques pas dans les bois.

    Les deux maisons sont équipées de TV satellite, laveuse, sécheuse, cuisine complète et 1 salle de bain. Le prix est le même pour les maisons en bois rond: le tarif de base est de 645 $ / sem ou 125 $ / nuit, et les dates de pointe sont de 780 $ / sem ou 160 $ / nuit. En juillet et août, nous louons à la semaine (du samedi au samedi). Il y a des frais de nettoyage de 60 $, et les chiens bien élevés sont autorisés pour un petit supplément.

    Vous pensez aux autres saisons? Les vents sauvages sont un paradis hivernal! Les sentiers de motoneige commencent au sommet de notre allée. Faites du ski de fond sur nos 60 acres de sentiers privés, ou visitez les sentiers entretenus du comté à seulement quelques kilomètres. Des pistes de ski alpin telles que Treetops ou Boyne Mountain, chacune à seulement une demi-heure environ. Ou tout simplement profiter de la beauté immaculée de nos hectares de pinède dans leur glaçage d'hiver!

It is a rustic cabin in the woods. Were there bugs, yes. Cobwebs- Yes. But it was fully what I expected by the description and it met all our expectations. A perfect getaway. Close to town but far enough out the city noise was gone. We loved it.

This was a wonderful, peaceful experience for me and my dogs.The fact that it is pet friendly was the best part. It’s a great price. It’s unlikely that you’re going to find property on a lake this cheap anywhere else. The owners were great and truly care about your experience. If anything isn’t up to par, they will make sure to fix that immediately.The trails on the property are lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Great location

Perfect location for a family reunion nearby. Cabin was rustic, charming but in need of overall cleanliness and basic supplies (kitchen cookware, linens, toiletries and window screens, and outdoor seating) we enjoyed our time at Wild Winds!

Great place to get away from the city life

We enjoyed the cabin and the hiking. We had access to canoes but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. We look forward to visiting again.

Nature lovers paradise

We stayed at the wild winds for a week. It was a great property very secluded which we love but still very close to a lot of awesome stuff to do. It was a nature lovers paradise had lots of trails in the woods that were beautiful. We went to Torch lake, Lake Michigan and a bunch of other cool beaches all within a hour drive or you can just stay at the cabin and enjoy the beautiful Wequas lake right out your front door. The owner was very professional and great to work with. We will definitely be going back in the future.

Charming old home in the woods

We needed a place to relax after a day of snowmobiling in Gaylord and this home fit the bill perfectly. Spacious and charming it was like we were time-warped back to the 50's/60's. The original cabin, along with the addition, allowed the four of us plenty of room for sleeping and lounging. It was a pleasure to meet the owner and get the history of the property. He was very informative and easily accessible if needed. Our winter trip was awesome and I know we'll be back in the summer to enjoy the lake. Overall a great weekend in a great home!

Rustic Cabin

Very rustic cabin, but comfortable and welcoming. This cabin is quite close to other cabins but we had plenty of privacy. Owners allowed us to fish, have a bonfire, and light fireworks on the 4th of July. The owners dog, Gunner, ran around and kept us company. Extremely accommodating when I asked for extra day and extra person staying with us. Only downside was lack of cooking utensils, hand soap, and no paper towels/trash bags. I would definitely add a few more outdoor chairs since this cabin accommodates 9 people and only had 4 outside chairs.

My Vacation and it was GREAT!

The cabin was great. I want to explain that the cabin was rustic and in the middle of the woods. GREAT in my opinion. That means bugs and critters who also enjoy the woods. The owner were great. The owners were there to great us as soon as we arrive. Everything the web sight said was all true. Had a great vacation and we will be back. The only problem was we are a board gaming family and I suggest a little more lights but I will still come back. Thank you for a great time. Kim F Michigan

Peaceful

The cabin was exactly as described. It was plenty of room for our party of 7. All essentials were provided. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles. Rocco greeted us upon arrival. One negative was the lack of wi-fi only because one teen needed to finish an online class while we were on vacation but we use a hotspot from other devices to make it work….on the positive, no wi-fi means more quality family time. I wish the window in the room with bunkbeds opened to allow air circulation. Overall my family were fine with the property. It is very peaceful and relaxing. I could have stayed much longer.

Snowmobile weekend

We had a great experience at the cabin. This is a rustic cabin with all the patina of its history. I grew up going to a cabin just like this. The host was very accommodating, making sure the house was warm when we arrived at 1:00am in the morning. There was plenty of parking for sleds and trailers. Trail head was at the end of the drive. If you want a place that's warm, comfortable, and to relax with your friends, you have a great place. If you have issues the family is close by to help out in any way they can. This is what I expect of a well mature northern Michigan cabin. We will stay there again, as long as the snow holds out for the season. Being off the beaten path gives you a nice seclusion from the hotel scene. Was a great time. Appreciated all your help Rokko.

Great location.....but

The location of the cabin was great. Very secluded and peaceful. The cabin however was very questionable. The cabin clearly has a mold issue that you can smell. There were cobwebs all over the place and it just seemed dirty. I have 6 kids and a dog, and my house is cleaner. It's just not what you'd expect from a vrbo rental that you pay a cleaning fee for. Not tall person friendly. 6ft doorways. Hit my head several times even with ducking. At the end of the day, it's a cabin in the woods and not a hotel. Owner was very nice! Cabin just needs some attention.

Rustic cabin with nice trails

It was nice to get away from home, however there were a few things we didn’t love. The cabin is rustic, which we are perfectly ok with, however it definitely hadn’t been cleaned in some time. A lot of dust, cobwebs in doorways, and dried food on the table cloth. The property itself could be amazing and beautiful, however there are numerous piles of trash, cans, old building supplies, etc. From the description it sounded like there was just one other rental nearby however, there are 2 cabins that the family lives in there as well, which was fine. We had our privacy. We did enjoy the trails to walk our dogs and the direct TV. There is zero Verizon cell service and no WiFi, which again we were ok with. Just making others aware as the description does list WiFi as an amenity.

NOTING LIKE THE PICTURES☹️

There was no beach like the pictures showed. We never had fire wood, even though we asked. The cabin was what I expected, a cabin, but it was not clean. There was cobwebs, dust, some mouse dropping and you had to use a large bowl to do the dishes because there was no stopper. I never met the host, only his brother(?). The yard was full of junk. The wild geese were being fed were you walked down to the boats and "beach", so you had to walk through goose poop. We had to fix one of the paddle boats to use it. One of the chairs on the balcony was broken. Needless to say, I will not be booking with them again.
