Enjoy the relaxing sounds of the waterfall across from the cabin that flows year-round and the Yellowstone River as it meanders past the Bison Hallow. Located only 300 yards from the border to Yellowstone National Park and 4.5 miles from the town of Gardiner/the Roosevelt Arch at the north entrance. The spacious patio offers a beautiful setting to take in the mountain views while reminiscing about the days adventures. With a gas grill and seating for all 8 - it is the perfect place to establish base camp for your Yellowstone vacation.
The cabin has two bedrooms with 4 commercial queen beds. Each bedroom has a private ensuite (full) bathroom. The Bison Hallow is cozy and beautifully decorated with a theme honoring the great American icon, the Sacred Bison.
Each year Yellowstone National Park culls up to 900 bison ā this sad event (which involves treaty rights) allows men to line up on the road, shoot entire herds ā even heavily pregnant females that are ready to drop newborn calves within 30-120 days. If you chose to walk the field cross the gravel road ā please carry bear spray and pay your respects to the fallen. Youāll find several bones in the bison graveyardā¦.
We do occasionally see bears, mountain lions, wolves, bison and rattlesnakes on the property and we frequently have deer and elk - especially in the spring and fall. The property does have exterior cameras to for the protection and safety of our property and guests. Many times the elk will eat right outside the patio and bed down for the day. Please do not approach or feed any of the wildlife. You should always maintain 25 yards distance between elk, deer & bison and 100 yards from bears, wolves and mountain lions.
