The house itself was very nice. It was clean, well appointed, and in a great location close to the beach. We were very happy with the property itself.Unfortunately, the management and maintenance issues significantly impacted our stay. There were not enough bath towels for our group, and when I called, they brought over a trash bag of mismatched beach towels instead of bath towels. The lights underneath the house did not work, leaving the area completely dark at night. Management suggested trying the switches, which we had already done. After I explained that none of them worked, I never received another response. The biggest issue was the smoke detectors. They started going off around 9:30 am and continued throughout the day. I called the 888 number, the local number, and sent multiple VRBO messages, but no one responded for hours. Around 6:00 p.m. someone finally called back, mentioning the Arizona fires, but no one ever came to fix the problem. After listening to the alarms all day, we had to disconnect the smoke detectors ourselves just to get some peace and quiet, which should never happen because guests cannot get help from property management. The home itself has a lot going for it, but the lack of timely communication and failure to address maintenance issues made for a very frustrating experience. If the property management were more responsive, this could be an excellent rental. As it stands, I cannot recommend it based on our experience.
