Use the community's private launch and pull your personal craft right into this home's available boat slip and/or enjoy waterside with kayaks and lily pad - you're officially on island time!
The Space:
When standing on the large multi-tier deck, this home's guests may look south and see a glimpse of the Sea Isle's beach and the Gulf of Mexico and to the north, Galveston Bay!
SLEEP/BATH CONFIGURATION:
~ Master with King bed and luxury hotel bedding (sleeps 2)
~ 2nd bedroom with Queen and luxury hotel bedding (sleeps 2)
~ Bunk room with 2 x Twin over Twin bunkbeds and luxury hotel bedding (sleeps 4)

It's easy to stay with us and secure too! Access the home electronically at 4pm on the date of your arrival with your unique lock code that we specifically give only to you via text and email. Your code is live from 4pm on your arrival date until 11am on the date of your departure.
The Neighborhood:
Sea Isle is a beautiful community, located about 12 miles from Galveston's seawall, often referenced as the West End. It has that laid back beach flavor perfect for your getaway. One of the popular neighborhood hot spots is the West End Restaurant & Marina which frequently offers live music, plenty of tvs airing different sporting events/games, good food, and tasty cold beverages. There is also access to the public beaches (3), boat ramp, marina, park, basketball courts, seasonal swimming pool (Sea Isle POA charges $100/week for amenity pass, available from the office during normal business hours, with advanced notice by 979's staff, Memorial Day through Labor Day, subject to change) and tennis courts, so guests get an opportunity to experience the benefits of both the Gulf and Bay sides of the island.
The Sea Isle community offers a small convenience store by the Marina, Sea Isle Supermarket, located on Termini-San Luis Pass at Nueces Drive. Heading back towards Galveston and just before Jamaica Beach is a Chevron convenience store, Seven Seas Grocery if you need extra items or forgot something while in town. Also, you'll find in Jamaica Beach, West Grill & Pizzeria, Buck’s West, Shrimp & Stuff Food Truck then Dollar General, Waterman’s Restaurant, Hummel’s Convenience Store & Deli, Mario’s Pizza, Woody’s Bar, Lucky Way Food, Gas & Liquor Store, Seahorse Grill and Jack’s Pub before you get to Galveston's seawall.

WIFI/TV SERVICE:
Our properties include WIFI/Internet and TV service for your streaming services. Due to our location (Island living is a whole other way of life), service may be unpredictable or spotty, and repair times can be delayed. While we will do everything we can to ensure these items are in good working order before your arrival, please note, these services may not be as consistent as they are in your area. So grab your favorite people, ditch the electronics, and spend the day at our beautiful beaches!
979 VACATION PROPERTY SERVICES:
All 979 rental home follow local and state tax rules. Reservations may be booked up to 365 days in advance. Please send inquiry and details if more than a year out as rates and availability may not be updated. Each reservation includes applicable taxes, a cleaning fee, $1M liability protection and $10K damage insurance - and good news, No Security Deposit Required!
CANCELLATION POLICY:
When booking direct with 979, you may cancel within 24 hours of booking and receive a full refund. Some exceptions may apply for last-minute reservations. After 24 hours, cancel at least 30 days before your check-in and receive a refund in your original form of payment less a $50 cancellation fee. Cancellations within 30 days of check-in are non-refundable.
Reservations made on 3rd party channels/OTAs such as Airbnb, VRBO, Booking, Hopper etc may be subject to terms and conditions which may be different than 979's. When booking through a 3rd party channel, the cancellation policy you agreed to at the time of booking is the cancellation policy on your reservation.

Beautiful at the Beach
Very bright and clean. Well appointed and comfortable this property has it all. Beds are beyond comfortable, all the comforts of home plus some and a fabulous lower area that has everything you need for outdoor living, fishing and playing. VERY close to the beach but also private. Management was on top of everything and helpful. Could not be more pleased and will be back.

Perfect Getaway
What an amazing place! This home was everything and more that we could have asked for. It was clean, very nicely decorated and so comfortable!! Each room felt large and airy with the beautiful whites and pops of color. The kitchen had everything we needed and we absolutely loved the deck. The downstairs area was perfect for our family to relax and enjoy the outdoors without too much sun. We got to use the boats, and paddle board and fished everyday. The home was very close to the beach, and had all things we needed. We would absolutely love to stay again. We actually met the owners and they were so welcoming and friendly. I would highly recommend this place!

Charming seaside vibe canal home!
We had a great time kicking off summer at Anchors Down in Sea Isle, Galveston! The house was great inside and outside! Loved enjoying the beach and the bay and coming back to our comfortable beds!
This home was clean and we enjoyed the outdoor space as much as the inside. Very comfortable and great set up for 2 families- 8 people total.

Great time with family for last minute summer hoorah!
The property was just as described. Pros and Cons:
Pros:
-Beautiful home on canal with wonderful outdoor space for spending time together.
-Canal was great for paddling and kayaking which the kids loved. (one kayak and a paddleboat were included, we brought our others).
-Home slept the 7 of us perfectly and an 8th would have been no problem.
-Had a welcome basket with dish and washing detergent and extra trash bags as well as toiletry items
-Canal location was perfect for easy access to the bay in our boat
Cons:
-Found quite a bit of dirty dishes in the cabinets, I'm assuming from previous renters who didn't rinse before loading and starting dishwasher upon departure. Perhaps housecleaning can check before putting a way to make sure. It wasnt really a big deal for us thought
-We had a bit of trouble with getting into the home when we arrived. The keypad is for the downstairs outdoor bathroom but we were searching everywhere for it to get in upstairs. The key for the main house was hanging on a hook in that bathroom. Once we found it, we were all looking, it was all good.
-We had an issue with the AC not working one day but the maintenance guy came and fixed it right away.
-There is a wagon for use but the handle is rusted beyond being usable safely. Needs replaced.
All in all a wonderful stay. All 7 of us enjoyed it thoroughly and we would definitely rent this property again. Thank you!

Fantastic Place! Ideal location for Canal and Beach vacation!
We had a wonderful stay at this property. Very much enjoyed being on the canal and yet still very close to the beach. House was well equipped with everything we needed. Only issue was the AC was a bit under rated for the home. It cooled down OK at night but couldn't keep up during the day even with door closed. Property management was very responsive and home was super clean. Loved how well the home was decorated in island theme. Beds were super comfortable. We made great use of the kayak and paddle boat. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
