This home has a relaxing atmosphere, surrounded by woods and wildlife. Though, still easily accessible in the Galena Territory. You'll be sure to have a relaxing and wonderful time, in it's superbly decorated interior. Featuring modern wine and country styles of it's own. The rolling hills of the area are beautiful in every season and the Galena area has lots to offer its visitors; golf, historical buildings, antiquing, fishing/boating on Lake Galena, canoeing and biking along the Galena RiverThis home is a great place to get away with your family or a group of friends to enjoy all the Territory and Galena has to offer.We are close to 4 championship PGA ranked golf (3x18,1x9)courses and a spa where you can book a massage or a full day spa package. You will also be close to the Marina on Lake Galena where you can rent pontoons, canoes, fishing boats, and paddle boats. Lake Galena, is one of Illinois’ top fishing lakes, featuring Small and Large Mouth Bass, Muskie, and Walleye. Horseback riding is available at the Shenandoah Riding Center with many trail ride choices to entice any rider.You will also have the use of the Owners Club with a brand new recreation center boasting an outdoor pool, kiddie pool, and the new indoor pool for rainy days. State of the art Fitness center and activity room with pool tables, ping pong, video arcade, outdoor tennis courts, and indoor basketball.Take in the beautiful scenery while hiking, biking, or walking any of the numerous trails in the Territory.A short 9-mile drive to Galena offers many boutiques, unique shops, museums, and restaurants to visit and dine at.Dubuque, IA is 25 miles away with the Mississippi River Aquarium, Eagle Point Park, Dog Track, Stone Cliff Winery, Star Brewery Museum, Casino’s, indoor water park, and much much more.It is our goal to ensure that you have a clean and tidy home when you arrive. We have enhanced our cleaning procedures in line with CDC guidelines as part of this. Here are just some of the steps we are taking to ensure you have a clean and healthy vacation home:- Washing and disinfection of all linens and towels regardless of use.- The use of new cleaned towels and linens for each stay. - Cleaning and disinfection of common household surfaces including: - Couches, Chairs, and other cloth surfaces - Counters and kitchen areas - Door knobs, railings, and handles, light switches, and other commonly touched objects. - Floors - Tubs and ShowersWe don't use a central office or keys with any of our stays ensuring you have a contact free vacation. You'll need a car for getting around.This property has a maximum occupancy of ten guests. Please note occupancy is verified for this rental.As a licensed hotelmotel operator in Illinois and an API connected host; an external credit card system is used to process all security deposits and fees as outlined in our contract provided in the house rules. Security Deposits are as follows 3bdr-$300, 4 and 5 bedroom-$350, all others $700.

Beautiful home with lots of room. Like having private bathroom for each bedroom. Upstairs sink facets need replacing. Beds very firm. Need to make sure dispensers in showers filled. Nice big kitchen. Enjoyed hot tub. Need to be conscious of doors locking when going from inside to outside.

Amazingly clean! Perfect number of bedroom suites for our group of six (2 couples and two singles)! Having to take our trash to the dump was weird and lack of workable tv remotes (dead or missing batteries) were a negative, but we would still stay there in the future! Again, amazingly clean!

This was easily the best rental experience of our lives. From check in to check out everything was far above what we expected. We were a group of 10 that included a four-year-old and a 95 year old and everybody loved it! The highlights were definitely the house itself which spread out the noise of all the grandchildren and gave plenty of comfort with the ensuite bathrooms and the huge table where we could join together to have meals. Loved the kitchen - spacious enough for two Cooks to work together. Everything was there that we needed and when I mentioned to the host that they could use some more silverware, they were so responsive that they asked me to send a picture of the pattern so that they could order the same one.I can't say enough about the Owners Club. We were there when it was 95, so we really appreciated the spectacular pool that overlooks the Galena Hillside. There was also a game room, a basketball card, tennis courts that are an amazing condition, and an indoor pool. This was definitely the favorite spot for the grandchildren.Wi-Fi was a little spotty at times but nothing that really affected the trip. It was actually a good thing to tell the kids that the Wi-Fi was out! I really can't think of anything that could have gone better. We absolutely loved it and are already talking about rebooking!

Great, quiet location. Very spacious. Plenty of room for our family of 6. We really liked that each bedroom had it's own bathroom and shower. Hot tub was excellent. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the utensils we needed. We would stay here again!

Wonderful Sanctuary

This home was beautiful in a natural setting. The home is well equipped; we loved that bedrooms each had their own bathroom. It is a great place to stay with family or friends. The owner communicated well and I felt all needs were met.

Five Wonderful Days!

Two old friends shared five days at this wonderful home, enjoying the full moon, the nightly fires, and the sunsets! We went into Galena each day for history browsing and great lunches (Bread and Vine was our favorite...) and one day drove north for a tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Taliesin. But our favorite part of the stay was being in the house, surrounded by the natural beauty and rekindling our friendship.

Wonderful Home

We had 4 couples in our party. Each couple had their own bedroom with bathroom. The living room, kitchen, the whole upstairs was very spacious. The basement was the same, and walks right out to the yard and hot tub. Beautiful property! It was a bit chilly but the deck was amazing and great view! Communication was great as well.

Great get away!

The house layout was perfect, and the hot tub and pool table were a big hit with our kids. The areas were clean and the house instructions were very clear and organized. Only a few hiccups happened, two being out of the owners control, but still a bummer for us: the indoor pool was closed, but there was an alternate location to swim which was so nice, and the dryer wasn’t working so we couldn’t dry our wet cloths. Spacious Home in Picturesque Setting

This was our second time to rent this home for our group of 8 golfers. The kitchen is well equipped so we were able to prepare our own meals, eat in, and not have to go out after playing. There are several areas to gather and relax, including a large screened porch, a nice deck with 8 chairs, a table and gas grill, a family room with cushy seating for 6 or 8, and a game room with a billiards table. Several of our group enjoyed the hot tub too. Our only criticism is that the beds are queen-sized even though the room sizes could have easily accommodated king-sized beds. That's a little awkward for our 8 guys sharing beds. Nevertheless, we're likely to rent again.

Family Get Away

This house provided the perfect setting for our annual family get away. With four different families, everyone had their own room with plenty of bathrooms to acommodate the ten of us. Great floor plan & plenty of options to eat (inside, outdoors, screened in porch). The kids thoroughly enjoyed riding their scooters up & down the sloped driveway. Our family goes somewhere every year, & this house by far had the best outfitted kitchen. It had everything you could think of for cooking, including a hand mixer, blender, insta pot, crock pot & griddle. I would highly recommend this property. Our famiy made some great memories.
