What a wonderful place to slow down with my family and regroup for a fun time. This was the perfect spot to host our family get away. We had ample room for all, plus the large screened in porch, dining table/game night table and hot tub were favorite spots for everyone. Thank again!

Wonderful Vacation!

We have been going to Galena for many Summers and this house, by far, was the cleanest and most well maintained home we have been in. I really liked the design aesthetic inside as well. My only (small complaint) is that their are only 6 passes to the pool. Everywhere else we have stayed have always had 8 passes. Fees to get into the pool are only 5, but that adds up after multiple days. Overall, this house and communicating with the owners was exceptional! I highly recommend.

Wonderful stay in the woods.

We came for a get away as a family. We had plenty of room for 10 people. We enjoyed the screened in porch where we spent a considerable about of time. Also the outside fire pit was stocked with well seasoned wood that started quickly. Communications with the owners was quick and they did everything they could to help us have a great stay. If we come back to the area we will stay here again.

Great weekend for us friends! Only thing was 2 smoke detectors went off within minutes of each other at 11:00 at night. Hot tub was nice! Property owners would get back to me promptly before and during with any questions I had.

Home Sweet Home

Our group truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful home. The location was perfect and just a short 20 minute drive to Main Street. We loved the front porch, the screened in back porch, the fire pit and absolutely loved being able to cook meals together in the kitchen. 4 ladies went together and we each had our own room and bathroom. We also enjoyed the privacy of the home with its beautiful sunsets and really enjoyed the hot tub. It had everything we needed and we were so comfortable with the communication we had with Andrew. I would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing getaway.

HS Girlfriend Getaway

We loved this property. It was so serene and quiet. Our highlights of the home were the lovely enclosed porch, fire-pit and hot tub. The owners provided wood which many do not do. We loved coming "home" each day after exploring Galena and the surrounding area to an evening of preparing great meals and just relaxing. I would highly recommend this property. Very clean and well stocked.

The property was just what the 6 of us wanted. A quiet place to relax but close enough to drive a short distance for golf, shopping, ladies had massages We ate at great places Had a drinks and s’mores around the fire pit. We are four "mature" women who annually get together somewhere in the Midwest. We enjoyed our stay at Sara and Andrew's place. They were very responsive to our needs and followed up quickly. The location was fine and we certainly got to be with nature! The home has all the amenities in the bathrooms and kitchen areas that one needs for a brief stay. We enjoyed our time in Galena and the home we stayed in certainly made the experience there even better.

This property was a great choice for our family vacation. We liked the layout and appreciated how well stocked it was. Easy check in and check out process. Questions were answered promptly. Will note that the jetted tub in the master bath is not in working order, but we had no issues using the outdoor hot tub.

Sisters' Holiday

From the easy in-out circular driveway to the welcoming front porch, the comfortable beds, en suite bathrooms, hot tub, lovely screened porch, not to mention use of the owners' club facility and hiking trails, Sara & Andrews place was perfect for our Sisters' Holiday in the Midwest. Communication with our hosts was superior and responses kind and thoughtful. Every aspect of this lovely home nestled in the quiet wooded cul de sac lent itself to comfortable relaxation. Great stay in the Galena territory

Overall, we had a great stay in Galena. We used the house as a base camp for skiing. It was about a 25 minute drive. The neighborhood is pretty remote so not much in the way of food close by. The house was spacious and well maintained. The only suggestion I could give is updated mattresses in the master and bunk room. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect Family Retreat

Perfect choice for a relaxing and fun filled extended family weekend! Highly recommended! Accommodations were spot on! House was well stocked and clean. The four bedrooms with paired bathrooms provided more than ample room and privacy for our group. The full size bunk beds, foosball table and hot tub were a big hit with our grandkids. We also loved the fireplace and the fire pit! Plenty of firewood was available to stoke the fires! This rustic rural setting provided great nature hikes with bird and deer sitings along the trail. All of the above kept us happily engaged during our stay. We also had a great time Christmas shopping and dining in the picturesque and historic town of Galena. Communication with owner was optimum! House instructions were informative and accessible. Would definitely recommend this home to others and rebook future stays.

A great 4 days!

This property was ideal for our family and was very well stocked with everything needed for our stay. The screened in porch was wonderful and our kids enjoyed making s'mores around the beautiful fire pit. Wonderful, restful retreat!

We booked this lovely home to relax an catch up with old friends. The property has wonderful screened porch and outside seating areas. Fire pit is in back of property and is very inviting. Home is three levels, and temps varied pretty significantly by floor. Otherwise, all amenities were as described. Very comfortable home, and very accommodating owners. Communication was great. Would definitely stay here again.
