Great house

PROS: cute house, well decorated, property manager was quick to respond and very helpful. The screened porch, fire pit and hot tub were great! Loved that the house had shampoo/conditoner/body wash. CONS: there are two king bedrooms on the main floor, one with an en suite, one that has a powder room near by. It was fine for our family since our kids slept in the other king, but for couples or friends, it may be difficult to share the one full bathroom. The bedrooms downstairs share a bathroom as well. Also, not a huge deal, but there are very few utensils (knives/forks/spoons) so plan on bringing plastic.

Great Stay in Galena Territory

Had 8 people total (4 adults and 4 children) for a quick spring break/easter weekend getaway. Booking was easy and straightforward. Brittany responded to my questions upfront and quickly. House was cleaned and ready as promised. Layout worked well for our 2 families and enjoyed having the large table to gather around. It was cold during our stay so weren’t able to enjoy the 3 season room too much (but would have been out there a lot if weather permitted!!) but did work well for time in the hot tub. Having access to the territory amenities was also a huge bonus (pool, game room, basketball hoop) to keep the family busy. It was also a quick/easy drive to downtown Galena for their shops/restaurants. Overall great place and stay. Talking about when we can get back in the summer timeframe.

Great getaway!

A great place for our three-generation getaway! The kids loved the game table and Pac-Man machine, and the adults loved the opportunity to unwind in the hot tub and around the fire ring. The property provided ample space for us all and was very clean. The screened in porch was an added bonus and a great place to start each morning. Thanks for being a wonderful host!

This home is amazing. Clean, comfortable, great location. Our Host was very helpful to answer questions. 6 adults stayed and we had plenty of space. The screen porch was a favorite place for morning coffee. We highly recommend staying here.

50th Birthday Getaway

Aspen Lodge is the perfect place for any getaway. It's even better in person than in the pictures was able to accomodate our party of 8 adults for a 50th birthday bash very well ! We were able to cook together and enjoy sitting around the fireplace, hot tub and arcade games at the house. It was only a 10 min drive into downtown Galena where we shopped and ate. I had booked reservations at Fried Green Tomatoes per the owners recommendation, it was a HIT, what a gem. Everything was very clean and the little touches like make up removal wipes, shampoos and soaps were well received. The master w/ ensuite was beautiful. Every room was spacious and bright. My only regret is that we didn't have at least one more day. We arrived friday at 4 and checked out Sunday at 11. Next time I would book a longer weekend if I could. We will be back again for sure and next time we will bring the family! Our weather wasn't nice enough to enjoy the screened in porch. the deck or the fire pit but they looked wonderful and inviting. Just bring your loved ones, your butter and spices and enjoy. Walmart is within 15 minutes if you forget something at home. The owners are amazing!! Brittany was so wonderful to answer all my questions and respond quickly to every text. They made the whole process very easy to understand. ( I wanted to leave a bad review so it would be available when I want it...lol...but that would be selfish. Can't say I didn't think it though ;) Thank you Brittany and Family for sharing your lovely retreat. The boy's really enjoyed the classic arcade games and friendly competition while the girls had a glass of wine and karaoke party upstairs! What a great time we had! Until next time....

Perfect!

Aspen Lodge was the perfect property for our Spring Break stay. The house had everything we needed, plus some….Mrs. Pac Man may have had some friendly competition! Cutely decorated and felt comfortable. The hot tub was perfect after long days of skiing and the Owner’s Club provided more fun for our teens. We enjoyed the location…quick drive to Downtown Galena, but peaceful in the evenings. The host was very gracious and easy to work with! We’ll certainly be back!

Nice place definitely recommend it!

Very nice place, very clean, Brittany was a very responsive and helpful host! They only thing is we would have liked the kitchen to be a little better stocked with cooking/ utensil items. Otherwise would definitely stay there again!
