If you want to be an easy walking distance to the market, the seaside, great restaurants, the cable car, etc., you cannot find a better apartment than this one in Zona Velma! It is a simple apartment that was comfortable and clean. Small kitchen for preparing simple meals. Sea view from kitchen window. Nice balcony with a pretty street view. I did not find the street very noisy. I would recommend this apartment for a great Funchal experience!

Santa Maria Maior was just as described and in a perfect location. We were minutes from the cable car and many wonderful restaurants and bars. Patricia greeted us and explained everything about the apartment and some tips regarding the area. She was delightful. Olivier checked to ensure everything went smoothly and wished us a farewell. As Americans living in Portugal I would recommend this apartment.

of course not in a quiet landscape, but excellently placed behind market. hall everything in walking distance. best placed for publc traffic, as well as for car driving. not in touristic hotspot, but there where people are living. very nice support by patrĂ­cia.

My wife and I rented this small one-bedroom apartment in Funchal in February 2023. The apartment was clean and the kitchen was pretty well equipped. The building has two fully functioning elevators. The person assisting with our check in was very helpful and even managed to secure a temporary parking space for us behind the building. The apartment is very well located near the farmers' market and a large grocery store. It is also very close to numerous restaurants in the older part of Funchal. You are about a 10 to 15 minute walk to most attractions in downtown Funchal. The only issue we encountered is that the noise from the street can be quite loud at times and can last well into the night. Earplugs are essential! We certainly enjoyed our stay in Funchal.

The location was very central in the Old Town area of Funchal, making it easy to walk to many tourist attractions, shopping, and the promenade along the ocean. The apartment was very comfortable and the kitchen was well-equipped. Patricia, the Property Assistant who lives on the same floor, was very helpful, and arranging a ride with William, from and to the airport worked out perfectly. Just one note for light sleepers, the street below the bedroom balcony can be quite noisy some nights.

I liked the central location, Plenty of good quality restaurants and very well stocked supermarket 6 min walk .Some people might find it a little noisy at times because the of the designee of the buildings outside, they trap sound like a court yard effect but everything is quiet after 11 pm. I would certainly stay here again the apartment had everything you would need for a short/long stay, I was staying in Jan so it wasn't overcrowded just nice and pleasant.

Tolle kleine Wohnung, fĂŒr 2 Personen genau richtig. Außerdem gibt es noch ein Schlafsofa. Es war alles vorhanden und sauber. Die Wohnung liegt direkt hinter der Markthalle sehr zentral. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten sowohl viele Lokale in der NĂ€he. Die freie Parkplatz Situation ist etwas knapp, hatten aber GlĂŒck und jeden Tag einen bekommen. WĂŒrden aber jeder Zeit wieder einen Urlaub dort verbringen :-)

The apartment is in a very central location being just a few minutes walk away from the seafront and very close to bars and restaurants in the old town. The main shopping area is also just a short walk away. The apartment was very comfortable and had everything that we needed for a relaxing stay. Although we were there in early December the weather was warm and we spent a lot of time on the balcony which was very private as the apartment is on the third floor. Olivier was great to deal with and made the booking process really easy. Having Patricia who also lives in an apartment in the building as a point of contact if needed was also a bonus. I would be happy to recommend this apartment to friends and family and would love to stay here again.

This apartment is situated very conveniently near Funchal market, shops and the cable car. It is very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. It is a perfect size for a couple. Communication with the owner was very good. However, it is located on a very busy road with constant traffic day and night. Due to this traffic, noisy neighbour and barking dogs we did not get much sleep during our stay.

Great flat on the edge of the historic and lively Old Town, near the market and Rua Santa Maria. Apartment is in a good block with elevators and great views over the city. Well equipped and local help in the same block - really appreciated this. Agent was also really helpful both before and during our stay. Balcony was very private. Ideal place for coffee & breakfast every morning and climate was good enough for meals on the balcony every evening. Island itself is amazing with a superb climate in Funchal and great places around the rest of the island. Immensely friendly locals contributed to a great time.
