Secluded Hidden Gem Mazama House near Crater Lake

The Mazama house is a beautiful two story home perfect for a family. The home features hard wood floors with area rugs throughout. The living room has nice corner windows with a beautiful view for star gazing, bird watching, or taking in the view of the property and the mountains.

The kitchen is stocked with all the kitchenwares and utensils you would need to prepare a meal, as well as a Keurig coffee maker. The porch has many windows and is a bright and sunny spot for morning coffe

Such a beautiful setting! At the edge of town and you look over a lovely field to the mountains. Little tiny grocery 1 block away. Not a ton otherwise near by. You wont get closer to crater lake unless you are at the lodge! Clean house, lovely yard with a fire pit. Kitchen/utensils adequate for cooking. FYI no washer available and no dishwasher (other than your kids. :). Loved our stay -would definitely go back if in the area!!!!

The cottage is very close to the entrance of Crater Lake NP. Itā€™s very well organized, in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by beautiful nature. There are some really nice hikes nearby. We also enjoyed having our own firepit to make smores! Would love to visit again.

The location was just perfect beautiful valley and close to crater lake. Itā€™s an older farmhouse style cabin the surrounding yard is beautiful with hanging blooming baskets . There is no tv . But that was no problem.

This is a great house to stay in if youā€™re exploring Crater Lake. It met our family needs well. We enjoyed the outside space and views as well. I didnā€™t give it a full 5 stars because the stairs are quite steep and I donā€™t remember that being said anywhere in the listing, and there was an ant issue in the kitchen. Overall, I would still recommend this home.

Lovely property, so serene. The house was spotless and had everything we needed. Extremely comfortable and overall a very peaceful place to relax with the family while visiting Crater Lake. The house was exactly as shown in the listing. The first thing we noticed was that it was spotless! We had everything we needed for a delightful stay. House and grounds are welcoming and very comfortable. It took about half an hour to get to the Rim Village in Crater Lake NP. Overall, an outstanding experience!

House was immaculate and easy to find. Easy check-in and great communication with Terri. Kitchen had everything needed to prepare some simple meals. Just wish I had known that you need to walk through the first floor bedroom to get to the stairs to the second floor, which means that first bedroom is not private. Luckily, we were all good friends so we dealt!

This property is a perfect location for visiting Crater Lake and surrounding national forests for additional hikes. The property was clean and all the appliances were in good working condition with the exception of the washing machine which was out of order during our stay. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

The deck had areas with no railing. There should be bannisters on all steps. The steps and level changes should have a yellow stripe. The living room smelled like Raid. The shower needs more cleaning or possibly redoing the caulking.

We weren't there for very long but felt at home in this cute and clean house that had everything we needed. Everything in the house was easy to find and understand which is helpful when traveling. It was so fun to wake up with the cows right outside and the beautiful mountain landscape behind surrounding us. Would definitely recommend to friends and family traveling in the area!

It has all the amenities and more. A secluded quiet place to rest, play and get away from it all. Very comfortable and had so many special touches to make you feel welcome. We had a fire pit outside with all the kindling and logs set up. The property is gorgeous. This is a must stay for anyone who would like to get away from all the hustle and bustle.

Our family stayed here for two nights for a visit to Crater Lake. We stayed with our five children, ages 3 yrs up to 14 yrs. We found the home to be very comfortable and a great location for visiting Crater Lake. We stocked up on all our grocery needs before arriving. Having the yard for the kids to run around in after a long day in the car was perfect. The view was beautiful from the yard and we loved watching the sunsets both evenings. The layout is a bit unusual, which didn't matter at all for our family, but it may not be the best arrangement for two couples sharing. The living room has a pull-out sofa, from there you walk into the main bedroom which has a very comfortable king bed. You have to walk through this bedroom to get to the bathroom, which is at the base of the stairs to go up to the second bedroom, which has a queen bed and a twin. The stairs are steep, but our 3 yr old had no difficulty. Everyone in our family slept great both nights and it was a wonderful home to come back to after a long, but amazing, day up at Crater Lake. Terri was great to communicate with and we wouldn't hesitate at all to return here!

Terri is a fabulous host and is incredibly accommodating. She is friendly and helpful, and her dog is the best dog ever! Just came over for pets every night and was extremely patient with our young kids. It was a fun little extra to have a ā€œpet.ā€ The location cannot be beat for Crater Lake. At only 20 mins away, we were able to explore the park early before the crowds. We loved playing in the huge front yard, playing cornhole, making sā€™mores or watching the cows across the street. The house itself is cozy and quaint. Very comfortable beds and linens. But, it is old ā€” so just be warned that the layout is a little funky / non traditional (have to go through one bedroom to get to the bathroom, closet or upstairs to the other bedroom), the stairs are incredibly steep (not suitable for the elderly or little kids; we had ours only go down on their butts).
