The hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The area was noisy in the middle of the night, which seemed strange because most businesses closed at 9:00pm.

we loved the fact we could walk to all major attractions in less than 10 minutes . We also felt very safe being out at night , very clean and polite city .

If excessive all of our expectations. The breakfast was outstanding. It’s hard to imagine that this building was here in 1400. That was before Christopher Columbus discovered North America.

By far the best hotel experience I’ve ever had. It was a very charming hotel in a great location (very close to major attractions but not in the middle of a very busy area). The daily breakfast was also a great bonus. But the best thing about the hotel was the excellent customer service…friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. I would definitely want to stay there again and would highly recommend to people I like.

Hotel ligt in het centrum en alle bezienswaardigheden zijn op loopafstand. Wij hadden een superior kamer. Deze kamer is prima, met een apart zitgedeelte en badkamer. Personeel is vriendelijk, gastvrij en behulpzaam. Het ontbijt is prima. Kortom een aanrader als je naar florence gaat.

Locked out of hotel, vendors scary approached us outside. Nobody at front desk. Bad neighborhood. Great restaurants. Stairs cumbersome for disabled seniors with steps to and from elevator and bed! Charged for water? Stained drawers. Slippery shower floor, no curtain in shower. Drain plugged in one shower. Website and room door stated 12:00 check out but manager said we had to leave at 11:00! And walk around outside hotel until we left for flight. Bed and pillows hard and dust mites. Couldn’t breathe when woke up. Couldn’t leave fast enough. Would have preferred greeting at front desk and correct checkout time as our flight isn’t until 3:40pm! Glad they had extra room but windows were 8 feet high! Can’t see out of them and patio door weird. Thought if was ofc the hinges. Door keys outdated and glitchy. Close to water and boats. Weather was nice and salty sea air great. Loud thumping music loud from night club next door. Rooms not sound proof.

Il Guelfo was one of THE best hotels we have stayed in. I went on a trip with my mother and I and our room was gorgeous— High Ceilings, wooden furniture and flooring… it was so elegant. The staff is amazing and answered every question we had about transportation and directions. The breakfast is beautifully done and the overall experience was a 10/10. We will definitely be coming back.

Ciao. Greetings from San Diego. This review is long overdue. My husband and I stayed at this Florence-inspired hotel. Breakfast was always a lovely treat. Loren, Rita, Carlos, housekeeping, and many others at the hotel made our stay very memorable. Everyone was always joyful. The proximity to all the wonderful places Florence has to offer makes this place hands down to say “YES PLEASE”, esp with the decent price tag. Taxi just down the corner, where you can also find the Medici Palace and the Medici Chapel. The Duomo was also just a block away. We stayed for 8 nights during December. Such beautiful time of the year. The hotel was quaint, as it is small like everything in Florence is. The room was cozy & always clean. Hallways had Florence written all over it. These guys work so hard to make your stay beautiful. We would recommend this place to our friends and family. We will always remember our stay here…forever in our hearts. Grazie!

Excellent cusromer service, very good breakfast and overall the hotel was very ckean and tidy. Perhaps a wider choice of tv channels would benefit some visitors and some attention to leaky shower door could be of benefit. Aprt from that this is a great place to stay and within an easily walkable distace to the city centre.

Nice Stay
This is a very nice property. It had some construction going on the street, but it didn’t affect us one bit. The room was very cute and met our needs. The location is great because you’re pretty close to just about everything. The room was clean and towels and linens were nice. The best thing about this property was the front desk staff. There was a little issue with the shower, but they addressed it immediately. If we needed anything, they were there to assist. We would definitely stay there again.

This is a great place to stay in the heart of Florence. It is accessible and makes getting to the notable sites easy. A few steps from the Duomo and only 10 minutes walk to the Ponte Vechio.

Este hotel é maravilhoso ficamos encantado.
Viagem maravilhosa para florença na Itália. Eu é meu esposo passamos duas noites lá, tudo nos encantou desde a recepção que por nossa alegria falava nossa língua Português... Foi um grande alivio , é o café com uma grande variedades ,uma delícia. Eu fiquei muito satisfeita com a minha estadia por lá ,com certeza voltarei outras vezes.
