Bright, comfortable and clean apartment, wonderful terrace and excellent location & host.
My two girlfriends and I had a wonderful 2 weeks staying in this lovely, classic apartment just a block off the Duomo. Marco, our host, was extremely communicative throughout the whole process and very helpful during our stay. I only have great things to say about the whole experience. The apartment is very comfortable and clean and well stocked with plenty of towels and other household items and it was really great having the third bathroom. There is a washing machine and a number of drying racks that you can set up on the terrace. Thereâs also an iron and ironing board and two hairdryers. We spent a lot of time on the wonderful, private terraceâŠ. It was so great to have that space to unwind and relax on and listen to all the bells and just soak in the atmosphere. The apartment itself is well represented in the photos,I felt the main living space was actually LARGER than I expected! There are lots of windows, so itâs nice and airy, and you can open the windows for lovely breezes. The beds are firm, but very comfortable, The green bathroom in the first bedroom is fairly compact, but everything works well there is good water pressure. The apartment is surrounded by a plethoraof fabulous restaurants, shops, grocery stores, etc.If you want a charming, comfortable and classic penthouse apartment, with a lift and a private terrace in the absolute center of the historic district, with a fantastic host, look no further! We look forward to returning! Thank you Marco!
The location of this villa could not be better! Right next to the Duomo with some views of the cupola and Giotto tower. Three retired gals from Florida spent a month here, touring Italy and of course, diving into Firenze. We trained to Pompeii/Sorrento/Amalfi/Capri, Siena, Venice, Cinque Terre and San Gimignano. Hiked in Cinque Terre and up to the Piazzale Michelangelo. We enjoyed wonderful meals and celebrations (at Trattoria Za-Za, Gilli's, Caffe Concerto Paszkowski, Mercato Centrale, and restaurants right on the same street as our villa), museums, wine tours, a cooking class with Walk-About Tours, opera and Vivaldi's Four Seasons. Marco was the best and most attentive host ever. Super responsive and truly a kind person. The villa has an old-Florence feel and met our needs...we especially loved the outdoor rooftop terrace. I lived in Florence for a year in 2015/16 and come back every few years. Would definitely stay here again when we have 3-4 folks to share this larger space. Kudos to Marco and everything Florence!
Such a great place with great views! Marco was incredible and very responsive.
So enjoyed our stay here and the view from the balcony was amazing! Would recommend and would stay here again if I get back to Florence!!
After a long day of travel (and delays), the host met us with a smile! He explained the house workings and provided easy recommendations for food in the area. The apartment was perfect for me and 3 teens! The terrace was amazing!
Great spot to explore, most things are less than a 10 minute walk to sights and excellent restaurants.
Great for those who want to share a place with another couple of family as bedrooms each has own bathrooms.
Would highly recommend.
A great property in an old style apartment in the heart of Florence. Marco was an awesome host! His communication and planning was great. We forget something at the apartment and he contacted us and met up with us to return. The views were awesome from the apartment windows, skylight, and walk out patio. The walkout patio really made the place which seems to be pretty rare as many of the other listings that I reviewed did not have a balcony or patio. The apartment was extremely clean and had all of the amenities. Marco even left us wine and treats to enjoy during our stay. When I return to Florence, I will definitely rebook this apartment. A great family experience. Thanks again Marco for making this a memorable trip for me and my family. Ciao!
Location location location. Wow. Just a couple blocks away from the city duomo with all the benefits of being within walking distance of nearly everything. Just 10-15 minutes from train station. A few easy steps up and a lift gets you and your luggage all the way up. Nice patio and multiple windows with great views. 2 1/2 bathrooms let Spouse and I have our own sink. Washing machine and with multiple heaters let us stay here a week. Great experience.
Only drawback was the mattress wasnât the best weâve had which meant some tossing and turning during sleep.
We thought the space was much bigger than the pictures showed. It's sort of an eclectic space with the second bedroom down a short couple steps with a low doorway. That was no big deal to us... and the views from every window were of an iconic piece of history... the duomo right out the bedroom wind the Palazzo Vecchio off the back deck. It wasn't noisy considering how close it was to main tourist attractions. It's centrally located we walked from the train station... Over all it was a great place to experience Florence for us. Lastly, the A/C worked great and kept us quite comfortable. We'll try to stay here again for sure.
It was a magical stay!!! Marco was so helpful. One day he drove my family and I out to the countryside of Tuscany. For wine tasting and dinner. The apartment is perfectly located. You can walk anywhere. We are ready planning to come back in October
This property was even better than expected. Marco was a wonderful host and provided us with so much info. He helped us when the airline lost a bag. He made sure we had the right number to call to find out about it .The apartment was very quiet, which is hard to find in Florence especially this close to the Duomo. It was very clean and Marco left us 2 bottles of wine and some snacks, also all the essentials. Would stay here again if we return to Florence. Don't hesitate to rent this apartment!!
Apartment was old school Italy. Very quaint and comfortable with a very nice terrace. Lower bedroom has low ceiling clearance so be careful of ceiling beams . All the varied plates and other kitchen utensils you could need. Location perfect. Washer came in handy but you need to air dry whatever you wash on terrace or in apartment. Marco the host amazing with communication and any needs when staying at apartment. Overall a great place to stay when visiting Florence. Thanks Marco.
Marco was a wonderful host for our 8 night stay in Florence. Location canât be beat for walking to all the glorious, historic attractions, plus SMN train station etc. Brunelleschiâs massive cupola on one side and a charming outdoor patio on the other. Highly recommended!
It was a wonderful stay at Florence. The apartment with it's terrace and the great view on all the historic buildings especially the 'Duomo' and the 'Campanile' is very special. And while staying here we have had a very friendly host: Marco. He'll help whenever help is necessary. He explains everything. He is just 'molto simpatico'.
The apartment is in a great location, itâs comfortable and spacious. We really enjoyed time on the outdoor patio . Marco met us at the apartment for check in and helped us with suggestions of things to do. It was a great experience!
Marco went above and beyond welcoming us to his beautiful property in a great location in the amazing Florence. He knows the city well and provided recommendations for restaurants, museums and transportation. 5 star experience and property. Will stay here again and recommend to friends .
I can't say enough about this lovely apartment! Centrally located but far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city center with a very nice store right around the corner for convenience. We felt like we were in a traditional Italian flat with the wood beams in the ceiling, the tiles, the furniture and decorations. The patio was amazing with the views and sitting there listening to the church bells was something I will never forget! The view of the Duomo dome right outside the window while I put on my makeup could not be beat! Marco was so warm and friendly it felt like we were with a friend! He made sure we had everything we needed to ensure a great time. He even had a couple of bottles of wine and some cookies upon check in! I would highly recommend this very lovely apartment and I will definitely stay again if I'm lucky enough to visit Firenze again! Grazie Mille, Marco! Ciao my friend! Kathy
This was a great location you can walk almost everywhere. Marco could not have been nicer. He had a bottle of wine and cookies there for us, and provided several great restaurant suggestions. Loved having a rooftop to sit outside and have a glass of wine. FYI, if you have a car, be aware that this location is in the ZTL zone. (Limited Traffic Zone). If you have car, make arrangements to park at a garage, as you will not be able to drive to the location.
Excellent location - we walked everywhere! Many great restaurants right on the same street - less than a minute away. Host was very communicative and helped to give recommendations. Overall, a wonderful time in Florence!
