  • Wood Cottage is a gorgeous detached home that sleeps two guests, in one bedroom, with a separate bathroom. Located on the edge of the pretty Cotswold market town of Fairford, this delightful abode boasts an inviting living space with exposed stone walls and a cosy log burner for the colder evenings, and a well-equipped kitchen decorated in country interiors. Outside, there is a private garden with lawn and patio areas, a perfect sun trap in the warmer months, as well as a summerhouse, allowing guests to enjoy the garden year round, whatever the weather. This dog friendly cottage is just a short stroll from a selection of pubs, restaurants and shops, and Lynwoods, the best barista in the Cotswolds!

    This one bedroom holiday cottage in Fairford is perfect for a romantic getaway in the heart of the Cotswolds. The Cotswold holiday accommodation is laid out as follows:

    The maximum occupancy for this property is 2 guests. Infants do not count towards the occupancy figure, however, due to space restrictions the occupancy can only be exceeded by 1 additional infant (aged 2 or under)

Short Stay for Relatives

We had a family celebration for a birthday and Wood Cottage was ideal location for 2 relatives (and their dog) to stay over for the weekend. The cottage was in excellent condition, very close by to our home and offered very good facilities for their stay.

Ideal cottage for two ( and a dog!)

Very cosy and comfortable cottage for two and a dog. Good enclosed garden for the dog (beware there is a low wall behind the shrubs and some dogs may be inclined to jump it!). Excellent village location with food store, chemist, pubs, takeaways and dog walks. Convient for exploring the Cotswolds, Wiltshire, Berkshire and further afield. Would highly recommend Wood Cottage and Stay Cotswold.

Excellent stay

This is our second stay at wood cottage. The cottage is so comfortable and cosy, in a great location with lovely walks locally. The cottage is extremely clean and very well maintained, a complete home from home. We love the cosy living room and the kitchen is well equipped. Parking is on the street outside the cottage, and although its not a dedicated space, we had no problem parking. There's everything you need in the village; pubs, coffee shops, butchers, coop and budgens as well as some lovely gift shops. Nothing is too far of a drive in the cotswolds. We would definitely recommend this cottage for anyone looking for a cosy stay and a bonus it being dog friendly too!

Autumn staycation

We had a wonderful week in Wood Cottage, everything was perfect . The log burner was very welcome after some cold days exploring the local area. A lovely walk into Fairford which has a gorgeous church, some nice little gift shops and pubs. Great fish and chip takeaway.

Autumn short break

Perfect little cottage in a very wonderful town with friendly residents who all spoke to us when went out for a walk. The cottage was immaculate and lovely and warm when we arrived. Our welcome pack was very much appreciated with everything we needed to start our stay. The bed was big and very comfortable. We will definitely return next year if available.

Superb cottage

Wood cottage is a lovely cosy cottage. It was spotlessly clean. It was a great home from home had everything we needed. Little extras like wine, Easter eggs, teabags, sugar and coffee were much appreciated. Would certainly recommend a great base for exploring.

The perfect break in the perfect place

The cottage was so cosy and comfortable. Very central and very welcoming. It felt like we were the first people to stay. We found our home away from home. Beautiful cottages and houses, scenic river walks, tea in the post office cafe, a pint in the local pub, the local church steeped in history with a one a kind stained glass window.

Wonderful cosy cottage

Super cosy little cottage. Perfect for two people and a (not huge) dog. Brilliantly located, minutes walk from a number of pubs and shops in town but on a really quiet road. Everything has been thought of; pre-made fireplace, instructions to do it yourself, shoe dryer, soft blankets, games and puzzles for the inside days, guides for walks, pubs, food etc on days out. Loved it.

A beautiful cottage with everything that was needed. Two great walks over the mill to the church and the other down to the river. Can highly recommend the market at Fairford on a Wednesday, the coffee shop in the Post Office and the people of Fairford in general.

A cosy little cottage.

Wood Cottage is an idea place to stay for those looking for quiet, warm, cosy and clean accommodation in Fairford. Everything is pretty new and the cottage is a little home from home. We stayed a week with our dog, found the property was perfect for us, and provided everything we needed. There are lovely walks right from the front gate, parking in the road outside is easy and the Marlborough Arms and Bull Hotel are within an easy walk and provide some tasty food.
