This area is generally very peaceful and quiet. However, as it is an aviation-centered community, there is the potential for airplane noiseâplanes coming and going sometimes as late as 10 pm. Please let me know if for some reason you need quiet earlier than this on any certain night and I will try to let my husband know to not go flying on that night
*Unsanctioned parties will result in an additional $500 penalty fee. If the apartment is left extremely dirty and needs deep cleaning, there will be an additional $200 cleaning fee assessed.
Late check out- we have a 10 minute grace period, after 10 minutes we charge $50 per half an hour until check out or double the nightly rate after one hour. Please be courteous of our cleaners and unless you have arranged a late check out or made other arrangements with us, check out is at 11 AM prompt.

*We love animals, but we do not allow pets in the apartment. If you have a service animal, please answer the following questions legally allowed by the ADA regarding your service dog. 1. Is the dog a service animal required because of a disability? 2. What work or task has the dog been trained to perform?
*We ask a $50/dog/visit pet fee for service animals. Guest remains liable for any and all damage caused by people or dog. Loved 1st class furnishings. Loved watching planes fly off water and gravel. I am a private pilot and my grandson has 20 hours of training under his belt.
The pictures of this home and property do not do it justice the home is lovely it has everything you may need for your stay. The decor was so tastefully done. The view every morning and evening was the best part. The lake with the planes coming and going was so much fun. We even had a moose visit late one evening and the ducks swimming in the lake. This property is so centrally located to everything that you will need. Easy access to the freeway, grocery stores Pioneer Park and shopping. You must try the Pump House for dinning, and it is just down the street. Ruth was wonderful to work with, and she helped with all our questions we needed.
Great house. Roomy, clean, modern. Great process. The only thing that could have made the stay better was the weather, but we knew that booking in April. I can only imagine how much fun it would be with fun plane activity!
We absolutely LOVED our stay! This was the first time Iâve booked a VRBO because we usually stay in our timeshares so I didnât completely know what to expect. The property is beautiful, the jacuzzi tub was amazing (Iâm kicking myself that I didnât take a picture of the brand!), we saw the Northern Lights from the deck and there was plenty of room for our family of five to spread out. There was everything we needed from extra blankets to toiletries to a crock pot and more. If we return to Fairbanks we know where weâll be staying. These accommodations and hosts helped make my sonâs senior trip even better!
The location was great. We were able to see the Aurora just walking out back. The kitchen is awesome with everything you need if you like to cook. The 3 bed/2 bath layout worked well for our family of 5.
We did a couples' trip to Fairbanks for an extended winter weekend. Unfortunately, holiday travel delays forced us to adjust our initial plans and request a change to our stay. Thankfully, the host was accommodating, and our friends were able to check in two days early! Our stay was lovely overall. The property is stunning, with all the amenities you could need. The sleds and snowshoes were a fun bonus that added to the winter experience. Our only issue was with the heat. When our friends arrived, the property had no gas, so there was no heat or hot water on the first night. Thankfully, this was resolved the next day, and the host was very communicative throughout the process. However, due to the homeâs concrete structure, it took a long time for the space to warm up. The downstairs became comfortable after a few days, but the upstairs remained chilly and took a long time to warm up. Those staying upstairs had to rely on the radiator nightly to stay warm.Overall, weâd rate our stay 4.5 out of 5 stars due to the heating issue. That said, everything else worked out wonderfully, and weâd recommend this property for a winter getaway!
This rental was such a great find and my family and I were so happy with our stay. It was clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. So many nice touches, like stocked kitchen, coffee and tea bar, and the use of the laundry room. The location was lovely and we all enjoyed the serene water views. We had plenty of space amongst are group and we were never too far from any of our outings. Thanks to Ruth for her communication and easy checkin instructions. If only we could have stayed longer!
We stayed at the airplane hanger apartment for a reunion with our adult children, one of whom lives in Fairbanks. This is one of the nicest VRBO's we've stayed in. The views are picturesque and everything you need is in the very spacious home, even a fussball table! Very close to the airport and a bit more than 90 minutes to Denali.
The property is located in a great hangar home on the private waterway. We had the best time watching the planes come and go. Totally relaxing. The house far exceeded our expectations.
The property was as advertised in the listing. Host was quick to respond to any questions we had. Our family enjoyed hanging out at the bonfire, and fishing in the pond. Our son caught a few pike. We would rent this property again.
Perfect place to spend our family vacation. Home is very comfortable and exceeded our expectations. Had fun exploring Angel Rocks, Denali, and taking in the breathtaking views of the Alaska Range. We dont want to leave! Thank you Ruth for the 5 star hospitality. Jacuzzi tub was the icing on the cake:)
What a great space. We would be happy to stay here again. It was a great space for us - two adult couples celebrating a 20-year friendship and new year's eve. We had plenty of space and the property was very clean and well stocked. At one point we needed scotch tape and we found it in the laundry room! The kitchen was extra well stocked with spices, coffee and condiments.
This home was everything it said it would be. Great location close to the city, stocked with all the amenities needed in a home, and fantastic communication from the host. Would definitely stay here again.
We loved staying in the Hangar House. So cool to see and hear the bush planes in the backyard! Property is perfect - close to everything and yet private and peaceful. Pantry well provisioned and kitchen has everything you need to cook in if you choose to. Ruth is a fantastic host. Couldnât ask for more.
We were able to conclude our Alaskan adventure with staying at Fairbanks for 3 nights. Ruth is an amazing host, gave us several ideas about the area. The accommodations were amazing! The house is clean and beautiful! Really enjoyed being able to reserve this location!
We took our 3 twelve year old grandsons to Fairbanks for a week of fun and adventure. The house was perfect for our needs. Loud young men need their own space. A hotel room would have been a disaster. The location was great, and they enjoyed watching the planes take off and land. The place was well stocked, and if it werenât for the unseasonably hot weather, the trip wouldâve been perfect. Thank you. We had a great time.
Lovely, clean hangar home. Ruth has many complimentary items like keurig coffee and snacks for guests. Home is clean with a big backyard near a lake that seaplanes use. Please be aware that there is NO a/c but there are portable fans. I do recommend this property for families.
