"While the concept of having rental rooms above a pub is charming in theory, I can assure you, it’s less romantic in reality. The room we rented was very tiny, not the cleanest, and musty. It was equipped enough to dwell for the night but the mattress felt very old and it squeaked at any slight movement. Also, the noise from the pub activity was incredibly loud (hence the ear plugs provided) and once that subsided, our lovely “neighbours” in the room next to us blasted music and babbled drunkenly at the wee hours of the morning until we could no longer ignore it and had to bang on the wall. Overall, I cannot in good conscience recommend staying here. "
