Hôtel très accueillant avec beaucoup de charme.

Proximite de Londres
Nous avons opté pour un séjour hors de Londres en privilégiant l’hôtel. Nous avons été tout à fait ravis et charmés par cet hôtels aux prestations de qualité. La chambre était grande, très propre et le lit extrêmement confortable. Le personnel accueillant et chaleureux est toujours disponible et prêt à se rendre utile. Cependant la salle de bain, de bonne dimensions et très propre était malheureusement mal chauffée et assez glaciale. Le petit déjeuner très bon mais très cher aussi. Tout comme les repas. Néanmoins nous retournerons sans hésitation dans ce manoir dont la cour intérieure était pleine de charme.

We were staying just 1 night, post holiday before heading home to the NE. We arrived late, greeted by a friendly member of staff. Our room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Kettle, coffee, tea, water, biscuits and fruit were all available in the room. The bathroom was also spotless and fully equipped. Breakfast was varied and friendly staff welcomed us. All in all a great stay, would recommend to others

I only stayed for one night so can't offer much insight, but staff were welcoming, my room was lovely as well as clean, and it was a nice peaceful setting, not far from shops/restaurants etc. Would stay again!

Olde Worlde charm
Just an overnight stay in a location that is convenient for London, into Essex and links via the M25 and A12. Room was well equipped and clean. Staff were friendly and welcoming. Excellent breakfast. The rate for the B&B room chosen was good value for money.

Beautiful historic building
Beautiful historic building, everywhere spotlessly clean! Easy parking, staff very friendly and helpful. Had a good breakfast, freshly cooked, with a good selection for continental breakfast as well. Sat in the lounge by the log fire having an evening drink, it was so atmospheric, it was wonderful! A unique place to stay.

Lovely building, unhappy staff
Beautiful building but sadly unhappy staff that snapped at each other. Even the management appeared rude to the rest of the staff, there was no manners or politeness between them. We had to wait a long time for the bartender but humiliation is not nice to see. Also our room had no heat working.

Stuck in the 80's
The Marygreen Manor aka The Moat House back in the day used to be an exclusive venue but its not moved on with the times - its very tired and needs a complete refurbishment for the price you're paying.

Pretty Good
Stayed here for one night on a business trip. Hotel was very nice and really handy, but unusually the staff really weren't very helpful. We checked in and had no idea how to find our room, everything felt a bit too much like effort and that was disappointing as the hotel itself is very good.

Beautiful Tudor Hotel
Picked because we needed a stopover travelling south into London. Location is perfect, just off M25 but nice and quiet. Beautiful hotel, as good as the photos on the website, really happy with our stay overall. 8yo son recently been learning about the Tudors and Henry 8th so he was very impressed! The only thing that let it down was breakfast. Paid for full English but ingredients seemed poor quality, tinned mushrooms, not very nice sausage. Such a shame as the room we ate in was incredible! All the staff we came across were friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again but wouldn’t pay for breakfast I don’t think.

I’d stay here again
Interesting Tudor period style hotel. Exterior rooms in a motel arrangement surrounding a nice garden. Room was very spacious and clean with TV, Wi-Fi and a bath. No air-con in our room (only a fan). But, I noticed that some adjacent rooms had mobile units. Food was excellent, prices reasonable and service friendly.

Great place to stay, lots of history.
A lovely place to stay, we had a garden view room which was great. The staff were lovely and the food was good too. We even had a portable aircon unit in our room. Only slight criticism was that the bed was quite hard and not very comfy, but that is a very personal thing and someone else might have loved it.

The lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. The room, although the décor was 'dated', was very comfortable with plenty of room. Bed was super comfy, and shower was nice (some recent hotels I've stayed in had poor power). Would stay again when next in the area.

The location of this hotel was perfect for the M25 motorway. The manager Mr Yusif Daher was exceptionally pleasant & helpful. The receptionist Ayman was also extremely polite & obliging. The rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable & there is plenty of space to put clothes etc away. The rooms are a little dated but really pleasant. I would much rather stay in a place like the Marygreen than a hotel that belongs to a chain which are usually soulless & lack character. The Marygreen is homely & welcoming & the staff are amazing which contributes to making this such a great place to stay. Reasonably priced, good food & exceptional service. It was originally a Tudor Manor House & still has many of its original features. Free on site parking . I can highly recommend the Marygreen hotel

We stayed at Marygreen for 3 nights and enjoyed the experience. The food was excellent as were the helpful and friendly staff. Beautiful building, only suggestion would be to update shower and have a more accessible TV. Garden is lovely.

Perfect……..almost!
Extremely comfortable stay. Everything was first class. They even have charging points, BUT BUT BUT, the most expensive electricity in the country at £1.10/kWh, outrageous. Shame because everything else was perfect.

It’s a lovely laid out old Manor House - ancient. This is definitely a wow factor. Outside gardens are in a quadrangle- very pretty on august.. The room we had was fine. Not outstanding. Just could do with a make over ! Tiles in bathroom need grouting ! Hallway going into the room, smelled very musty. Not pleasant. Bed could do with a new mattress or a topper on it. Saying all this makes it sound not great- reality is, it was fine. Ps breakfast was really good.

Second time staying which didn’t realise. Room was recently refurbished, overall a good stay, quiet, comfortable, evening meal was nice however didn’t use the breakfast facility. There isn’t a lot around the area from what I noticed however was a business trip so not an issue.

I think they should have told me that they had a venue wedding venue on when I was booking because otherwise I probably would not have booked we had a hallway but blocked up with people arguing and threatening to fight then the hotel told us they'd already chucked some people out this is the second time I've stayed I'm disappointed in this time
