Oceanfront Updated 5BR Duplex. Dog friendly!

Cloudburner East is a comfortably furnished and fully equipped 5BR/3BA oceanfront duplex (East side) located steps from the sandy beaches and beautiful waters that make you understand why Emerald Isle gets its name. This wonderful home sleeps 11 people, is equipped with high-speed wireless internet and 4 flat-panel TVs with cable for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy your coffee on the deck, taking in the views of the majestic Atlantic Ocean.

Enter on the first level where you will find Bedroom #1 (king bed with shared bathroom located right beside this bedroom). The washer/dryer is also located on this level. Up a few steps is the second level where the main living room, kitchen, and dining room is located. Admire the wonderful ocean views from this level and also access the beach from the deck The next few stairs lead to level three where Bedroom #2 (twin bed & twin bunk bed set) and Bedroom #3 (queen bed) share access to bathroom#2. Walk up a few more steps to the best views of the ocean from level four. There are two oceanfront bedrooms (bedroom#4: queen bed, bedroom#5: king bed). Bedroom#5 also enjoys its own private bathroom. Note: This rental is for the east side of the duplex, not the entire house.

The house itself was great. It is a split level with 4 half floors. Biggest draw back was that the view of the ocean from the deck was obstructed by the dunes. The floor in the kitchen was in pretty sad shape with the "boards" being separated and uneven. Quite a few dings and straches on the walls. Very amble parking. The house had a kid's high chair and a pack-in-play but neither were advertised. The sliding glass shower door on the tub made it hard to bathe kids. Tap water is typical beach water with high sulfur so recommend bringing your own drinking water and drinking ice. It was really nice having a washer and dryer in the house. The kitchen was well stocked with cups, plates, bowls, silverware, and pots and pans, but was a bit lacking in cooking utilities. There is a wide open, opean air beach shower half way up the boardwalk to the beach with both hot and cold water but it doesn't have a foot wash, just a shower head. Beach was excellent with plenty of sand at both high and low tides. House is in a nice quiet neighborhood but still pretty close to restaurants and grocery stores. We visited the Pine Knolls Shore aquarium and Fort Macon and highly recommend both.

The house was in great shape and had plenty of room for us to move around, even when it rained. The kitchen is well-stocked (unlike many that we have stayed at) and the unit even had extra beach chairs that were in good shape (not rusted). The beach is very deep in this part of the island, which is the primary reason to have a beachfront home.

Location, location, location. It’s a real estate cliché, right? But like all cliches, it contains a grain of truth. Or perhaps more than a grain. Consider this: Here we are in the lovely beachfront home known as Cloudburner East on Emerald Isle, NC, when Hurricane Erin looms. You might think, there goes my vacation. But no. This part of the North Carolina coast is sheltered in the nook of that great Atlantic protruberance, Cape Hatteras. Erin sweeps by, but Emerald Isle is spared. There are a few red flag days, some dark clouds, scattered rain. But on the whole, our week was glorious, for this is a prime spot, a slender portion of the island with wide beach and few homes making for an uncluttered holiday. The view of ever-changing light playing over the water, pelicans skimming the crests of the breakers, is magnificent. The home itself is spacious, well furnished, immaculately clean, simply and tastefully decorated in a maritime theme. Serene view of the beach from the porch. Living room with plush couches and gigantic screen. Bedrooms with comfy beds. Impossibly quiet at night, lulled to sleep by the sound of rushing waves. We were a family of four, plus dog. Next door were three families sharing the west side of the duplex, refugees from Hatteras Island. What a location. What a home. We cannot recommend it enough. And we are very grateful to our hostess, Amy, who promptly answered every message and responded to our every need. Thank you. We hope to be back next year.

Great beach stay!

This was such a cute house! It was very clean, well decorated, and had comfortable beds and furniture. The location is great with easy access to the beach. The views from the house are amazing. The property manager was friendly and easy to get ahold of. Would definitely stay here again.

Perfect Oceanside Getaway!

This is a great place for families and pets! The views are amazing and you are literally steps from the sand. The host was very responsive and detailed. There were beach chairs, sand toys, and more. We loved sitting in the dining room or on the porch and watching the waves. This was one of our favorite places we have stayed! Plenty of room and super easy all around. Would definitely stay here again!

Steps to the ocean

We had seven adults staying here. The house is centrally located and just minutes to food and groceries. The house was clean and well stocked. The owner was very easy to contact and responded immediately to any questions. We all loved the house and would stay again!

Family Beach Week!

We had all ages! 3 years old - 80 years old! 4 Generations. This was a great place to spend with family. The beach was steps away and Emerald Isle is a family favorite.

Perfect Spot Right on the Beach!

The property was perfect for our long weekend on the beach. The house had ample space for our family of 7, was clean and - importantly - just steps from the beach! The owner, Amy, was very responsive to any needs or questions. It was a quick drive to restaurants shops, mini golf etc. We had a blast and would highly consider returning!

Definitely recommend

Our stay was May 31st-June 3 2024. The house was perfect and the location was just as described. All you need to do is walk out the back door and the beach was there. The house had everything we needed. Amy the owner was so sweet and available anytime we had questions. I am very picky on where we stay and I would definitely recommend staying here. We had 9 of us in our group and had plenty of room.

A Beautiful Birthday Stay

My family and I stayed here for my son’s 1st birthday and it was wonderful. Amy was a very kind and responsive host, you can absolutely tell how much she cares. The house had a nice open living space with comfy furniture, so we could all be together catching up and watching the kids at the same time. The bathrooms were especially nice and upgraded, the beds comfortable, and everything was so clean. The beach itself was beautiful, spacious, and private! If you have little ones with you we definitely recommend bringing a couple of baby gates and toddler dishes. Would love to come back again!
