« We stayed the night fire my husband’s graduation. I picked this hotel as the pictures were stunning and it did not disappoint! The room was large and beautifully decorated, the bed was huge and comfortable. We were in the very top of the hotel in room 12 with the low door to enter and we loved it. We also had a meal in the restaurant in the evening and couldn’t fault it. We were up and out early the next day but had time for a quick cooked breakfast to set us up for the day. « Stayed one night as it is close to my old school for a reunion. I stayed in the Pig Room. Apparently being in a farming area, each room has an animal instead of a room number. To all those who have stayed in the Pig Room, you will understand. The shelving is in the wrong place as is the TV. Swop the TV and shelving around and your guests would not have to strain to see the TV. Also the TV is painfully small. My biggest complaint was the bed. It was so low. Almost a futon. « It is the second time in a couple of weeks that I stayed here. Checking in and out simple and fast. Staff very friendly. I stayed in two different rooms and both were clean and comfortable. Tv and Wi Fi reception also very good. I would go back againg. »

« Amazing service yet again, nothing too much trouble »

« Absolutely no heating, complained two times, said they reset the boiler but still nothing, had to ask a portable heating device, not acceptable for the prixe of the night. Also didn’t get any hot water in the morning »

« Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely. »

« Very nice small inn with rooms at the back. Comfortable bed and en-suite facilities. Nice bar, good beers, and good breakfast. Helpfull and agreeable staff. Only two negative points, the church tower bells from early in the morning, as already noted, but I was aware of this before booking, and I am a light sleeper, and the noise if the the adjacent room flushes the toilet in the night, but again this is common in many places. Good value for the price of the rooms. »

« Great hotel, bar and restaurant with friendly and welcoming staff, and excellent service throughout our stay. Room was clean, well equipped, comfortable and modern. It would have been nice to have had the heating on when we arrived but appreciate that we’d recently had a change in weather. Bar has wide selection of drinks and food is excellent. « Travelled from Yorkshire en route to the New Forest, stayed one night. We had a comfortable nights stay, an amazing evening meal & a fantastic breakfast! We would love to return. Great room facilities including a fan which was much appreciated! Popular with the locals which is always a good sign. Recommended! »

« Pre check in email was very useful about how to find the nearest car park, but missed the part about not being able to book the parking for more than 24 hours so you have to sit for your current session to expire before paying again. Check out time was incorrect stating 1100 when booking email stated by noon. I reply to confirm but didn’t hear back from property.
