« We thoroughly enjoyed our time in Castillo. The terrace had an amazing view of Arenal volcano, and we saw so many birds in the backyard. It was amazing to have coffee in morning and watch clouds roll through valley and listen to birdsong. The location is convenient for getting to Fortuna and nearby parks for hiking, but Castillo feels much more quaint and quiet for enjoying peaceful evenings. We cooked in kitchen and had everything we needed to prepare meals. We also loved Ventanita restaurant...

« Even more beautiful than the photos! A birder’s paradise. Refreshing spring fed pool. Had one minor issue during our stay and property manager Augustin saw to it immediately - maintenance was onsite within 5-10 minutes. House is on a steep hill, but there sre restaurants and activities within a short walk. Butterfly Conservatory is a must-do. I would 💯 stay in El Castillo/El Million again. »

« What a wonderful place to stay while visiting Arenal! The views of both Lake Arenal and the volcano are incredible. The whole property is meticulously maintained and within easy walking distance to the village of El Castillo, restaurants and kayak rentals on the lake. Our unit (Pie in the Sky 1) was really clean, had a well appointed kitchen and even had coffee - bonus!! Directions to the property were easy to follow and the check-in process was seamless. The staff are very friendly and helpful....

« The place was super clean, the view was spectacular. We had everything that we needed for our 3-day stay. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and a small supermarket. The locals are super friendly and we actually made friends with some of them. Highly recommended! We would definitely stay there again. »
