Très bon hôtel. Les chambres sont très bien équipées et spacieuses, l’équipe est très professionnelle et serviable. La situation de l’hôtel est parfaite. Cependant la propreté des chambres ne convient pas à la classification d’un 5 étoiles. Mais c’est un très bon hotel.

Bien mais pas top
L'hotel est idéalement situé. Nous avons aussi testé le common club qui était très agréable et la nourriture excellente. En revanche notre chambre (avec balcon) était assez décevante étant donné que le balcon était inutilisable donnant sur un lieu qui sentait en permanence la nourriture. Par ailleurs, il n'y avait aucune vue et payer davantage que la chambre classique n'a clairement pas d'intérêt au vu de ce genre d'inconvenients.

C’est un très beau hôtel et parfaitement situé, en pleine centre du Old Town. Cependant, le stationnement aux alentours est impossible, il faut prévoir 15 minutes de marche. Nous avions réservé une chambre avec un lit King et une terrasse et les photos sur le site annonçait une vue magnifique pour cette catégorie. En fait, la terrasse était au RDC et donnait entre deux immeubles avec une vue complètement nulle et le lit était de grandeur Queen. Bref, nous avons eu l’impression de ne pas avoir eu ce pourquoi nous avions payé. Quant aux surclassements qui viennent normalement avec la catégorie Expedia VIP, on oublie ça… jamais vu.

This place is a gem. We didn’t like our initial room and for a modest fee we got an upgrade to a very nice room. All the staff was friendly and the location can’t be beat. The only negative is the light in the toilet part of the bathroom is on a motion sensor and comes on and off whether you want it to or not.

The bed was amazingly comfortable. Loved my balcony, blackout drapes, water pressure, tye way the hotel smelled or rather didnt smell like anything unpleasant, and the soundproofing. Didnt love the lack of alcohol selections in the mini bar.

I find a vast difference in customer service when traveling to different countries and this hotel has exceptional customer service. The staff is always friendly and quick to meet whatever need that you have insofar as they are able to accommodate. The breakfast is delicious and service there is also amazing. I will be looking for Virgin properties to stay wherever we travel going forward.

I had a great stay at Virgin Hotel in Edinburgh. Shout out to James, who was the Concierge when I first arrived. He was welcoming and set the stage nicely for the rest of my stay. Would suggest staying here if you are looking for a great hotel in the perfect Edinburgh location.

Staff really makes this property. Clean and the perfect location for everything. Food is average at best and extremely costly. Breakfast options are poor and it is difficult to get a coffee at any time. The biggest down side is the noise. Dont expect to get much sleep staying here. Most nights it goes until 0330 and we had a street shut down that went until 0500.

Hotel moderno nel cuore di Victoria Street. Non dispone di parcheggio e nemmeno di car valet, il parcheggio piu’ vicino e’ a 15 minuti a piedi. Personale della reception poco collaborativo e non proprio simpatico, completamente assente la spiegazione dell’hotel e dei servizi. Camere nuove, molto pulite e dallo stile moderno ma molto piccole e rumorose. (Non prendete le suite pavillon che sono difficili da raggiungere e molto rumorose perche’ vicine ad un locale). Colazione a buffet o alla carta.

Struttura molto bella negli spazi comuni, camera non molto spaziosa con pavimento in pvc mezzo sollevato e polvere/macchie sui tavoli e letto. Aria condizionata ingestibile. Colazione pessima, scarsissima scelta al buffet, metà del menu non disponibile per più giorni e servizio poco attento, incredibile per il livello/prezzo dell'hotel. Problema con l accesso in camera con la chiave digitale risolto dopo svariate ore. Sicuramente gestione/servizi non all altezza della struttura. Si trova facilmente di meglio allo stesso prezzo o meno. Sicuramente non lo consiglierei!

The staff could not have been nicer. Very welcoming, and checked in if we needed anything. The caliber of employees that I encountered very definitely top notch. I will definitely look into staying at Virgin again.

Excellent hotel. The best price-quality I’ve found in the UK. I wish Mr. Branson had a hotel like this in London. I would definitely book my stays there.

All the staff are lovely and try their best. It is clear they did not get enough training to be a 5 star service. And yes, there is a club underneath the hotel with pumping music playing till like 3 am, that’s why so many reviews mention noise… if you are a light sleeper you won’t sleep until 3. The design of the hotel is beautiful!
