Tres bon emplacement mais hotel un peu vieillot. On avait une belle vue néanmoins le couloir est bruyant. Très correct mais rien d’exceptionnel et moins authentique qu’imaginé !

excellent emplacement .arrêt bus aéroport à 100m
Hôtel calme hors le bruit de la rue en journée. Surtout très bien situé pour visiter Edimbourg à pied . Personnel agréable,bon petit déjeuner varié,literie confortable.Hôtel aux fenêtres anciennes mal isolées mais chambre correctement chauffée.Nous aurions préféré une petite armoire plutôt que la planche à repasser.A recommander toutefois pour son charme et sa situation..

Hôtel magnifique dans un pur style écossais. Le personnel est très professionnel et serviable, le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet est excellent. Hôtel calme malgré les attractions et transports à proximité. Super expérience !

Cinq jours à Édimbourg
Hôtel très bien situé pour visiter la ville. Par contre gros efforts à faire au niveau de la propreté. Nous avons dû demander un changement de chambre à notre arrivée tellement la salle de bains était sale! La chambre suivante était plus grande propreté correcte mais pas de fenêtre!

Stayed there twice first had a room with no window to see out of or to open. Would not recommend this room Then had a room with a functioning window but view was a back alley I guess we could actually see what the weather was. Back alley was really noisy on the weekend

Very nice older hotel. Since it is older you do have to walk up stairs to get to the reception. There is a lift from there to the rooms. Our room view was great and we could see the Scott Monument and Edinburgh Castle from our room.

This hotel is in the perfect location. The staff is also super friendly and helpful. The downsides of staying are that it’s quite noisy and night, the wifi is terrible and rarely works( I needed to work and struggled to log in most of the time), and there is no elevator to the lobby, requiring a long trudge up. Also, there is zero parking in case you are driving. The breakfast was good. The bar is fabulous and the location is unmatched, just across from the train station and the Royal Mile.

Lovely hotel within walking distance of many Edinburgh destinations. Our room was lovely with two large window looking out on Princes Street. The daily breakfast was wonderful and the staff was very attentive.

The hotel was within easy walking distance to old town as well as transport to and from the airport. The alley behind the hotel was noisy, beginning at 5am. The staff were friendly. The bed was comfortable but with only 2 small windows the room was dark. We would stay at the Waverly again but would request a front facing room.

Carpeted floors were kinda gross, there was no phone in the room to contact reception or order room service, they gave me the wrong luggage when I went to pick it up from storage (they didn't check the tag number). Aside from that, it was a reasonably priced and reasonably comfortable stay. It is exactly worth its 3-star-rating.

We understand that the stairs leading to the reception are not ideal - especially for elderly guests and those with mobility issues or heavy luggage. As is stated on our website and all of our booking partners’, the Old Waverley Hotel is a listed building, meaning it is of 'special' architectural or historic interest, which enriches Scotland's landscape. Sadly, this means we cannot have a lift from the ground floor, due to the age and characteristics of the building, but we do offer a concierge service. The entire staff are friendly and so helpful. It is the nicest place we have stayed in during our many trips to Scotland. Highly recommend!
