Fantastique
Excellent séjour,le personnel à la réception était parfait,à l’écoute,aux petits soins…le personnel du petit déjeuner idem….ainsi que le personnel des chambres…..bravo également aux cuistots !!!! Le petit déjeuner était exceptionnel !!!realisé à la demande !! Du jamais vu!!!!

Very nice but not fantastic
Perfect location, nice view but without balcony. Great view from the restaurant though. Very small room, weird bathroom sink placement. Very poor choice for the breakfast, good quality but no barista ! Extremely confortable bed. Very slow service at the restaurant. All staff very nice. I did prefer my stay at 24 royal terrace hotel, but location not as perfect.

Dear Patrick Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are happy to hear you were happy with our location. We believe it to be very convenient for exploring all Edinburgh has to offer without having to go far to get there. I do apologise that you did not like the layout of our ante-bathroom concept we have throughout the hotel, I understand we have a unique layout compared to other hotels. I have taking note of the issues you experienced in the restaurant with regards to the slow service and that you feel as though there was not a large variety on offer in terms of breakfast items. This feedback has been passed along to the executive management in the hotel. We do hope to welcome you back in the future.

Très bien mais pas parfait
L'Hotel est idéalement situé entre la vieille ville et la nouvelle ville. Les chambres sont spacieuses et silencieuses. La vue depuis la réception / restaurant / bar est superbe. La décoration est pointue et inspirée par l'héritage local. Le personnel est très sympathique et souriant. Cependant l'hotel semble encore en rodage, la gestion des interrupteur dans la chambre est très mal pensée. Nous avons été réveillés par des ouvriers travaillant dans la chambre attenante.

Absolutely loved our stay! It is within 200ft of the train station and the room was great! Free fully stocked mini bar, great reception staff, top end hair dryer, straightener, and clothes steamer also in room. Will recommend to anyone traveling to Edinburgh

It’s right in Old Town Edinburgh, perfect location for walking and exploring food, shops, and Edinburgh Castle. It’s all walkable. Our room was spotlessly clean, though a bit cramped for space The front desk personnel were very friendly at check-in, however the man at the restaurant wasn’t particularly welcoming when we went for morning coffee Overall I’d recommend this hotel if you want this location, but it’s definitely expensive because of its location

The location was excellent for our purpose. Sight-seeing The room was good, the view wasn’t great, overlooking an unkempt area. I was not too happy with the checkin There was hardly any info given about the hotel I didn’t realize the stuff in the mini bar was complementary. I’ve stayed at this hotel three times in one year. I will only ever stay here when I’m in Edinburg. The view from the lobby/ restaurant is incredible

The people at check-in were so nice! Friendly and super helpful. The guy at the bar was kind of a jerk. Bed was excellent, lots of sundries supplied and everything in the room was complimentary! Would definitely go back!

The staff at Market Street was top-notch! They were very professional and friendly. They also resolved a minor dispute over the total of our bill in our favor, which was really appreciated. We highly recommend staying here!!

Had a fantastic stay. They hotel is beautiful and cosy and a fabulous location. Wish there was staff at the entrance on the evening to make it feel more secure, but was a wonderful stay regardless.

The hotel reception is at the top floor with spectacular views of the city. It was a great location for sightseeing in the old town, especially since we were only staying one night and leaving by train in the morning. Waverley Station is across the street, so heading to our next destination was a breeze!

We were very happy with The Market Street Hotel. The location is superb. Also, we were very pleased and impressed with the complimentary refreshments and the delicious coffee. The room was very clean and quiet.

We loved all the light in the facility, from our room which looked out on the main street to a most pleasant breakfast space. The staff and service were wonderful. Knowledable, personable, a delight to ask questions of. The location is perfect for roaming around Old Town. Felt that some of the amenities were a bit off. For example, our hot water heater to make coffee wasn't working and they didn't have a replacement. The breakfast was beautifully presented but some of the food was kind of bland.
