Une bien mauvaise maison (=Malmaison)
Dès notre arrivée on essayait de nous imposer un upgrade au prix de 15.- livres par jour. En même temps, on nous suggérait la réservation d'une table au restaurant, alors que dans les environs il y a une multitude de restaurants de meilleure qualité. Suite à notre réaction négative, ce fut la chambre 105 au premier étage, avec vue sur une façade à 5 m et avec des perturbations bruyantes pendant la nuit (claquement de portes dans l'immeuble en face). Impossible de voir le ciel. L'ouverture de la fenêtre était minimale et la circulation d'air entre ces deux bâtiments quasiment inexistante. Le petit-déjeuner était en ordre. Les extras étaient à charge du client. Le trajet au centre ville coûtait en taxi au moins 10.- livres. La relation qualité/prix est inacceptable. En conclusion, cet hôtel n'est pas à recommander. Vous pouvez loger en ville à de meilleures conditions et vous épargner en plus les frais de taxi.

Très belle hôtel . Personnel au petit soin et excellent restaurant . Un grand merci à Lauren de la réception qui nous a donné un bon coup de main pour les réservations . Étant française , cela nous a beaucoup aidé . Chambre très propre et nettoyé chaque jour de fond en comble . Le repas au restaurant était excellent . Décoration très jolie Petit déjeuné aussi très bien avec beaucoup de choix . Serveurs très sympas et souriants . Je recommande cet hôtel :)

Location is great. Breakfast is superb. Only problem is they don't understand "over easy" eggs. The might understand "light" instead. When I go back next year I'll bring a picture. It's a historic building but the remodel is modern and tasteful. All staff are friendly and responsive to my needs.

Hotel in general need of a ‘spruce up’, noisy and the breakfast staff weren’t the most helpful. However check in/reception was excellent, the Arran products were lovely, bar staff great and the parking was the main feature. It’s in a gorgeous location and is overall a great hotel. Thanks for the stay :)

Not up to the standard of other Malmaison hotels I’ve stayed in. Bathroom had not been cleaned, black mould in shower, dust on surfaces. Took paper sheet off tea service tray to find food underneath. Not great.

2nd time staying, bed not comfy, noisy water pipes at 4am when room above having a shower, floorboards very noisy both in rooms and outside in hallway. Breakfast was great and the room was spacious….pity about the sleep!

Nice big room, perhaps a little noisy due to its proximity to the lift and stairs, but clean and comfortable. Excellent wifi, nice facilities. Stayed here a few times before, so we know the hotel and like it. Great location for exploring Leith.

We loved the Lieth area so much, beautiful cobblestone streets, plenty of amazing restaurants within a few minutes walk from the hotel, right by the water. The staff additionally was so kind a friendly that we chatted for several minutes when checking in. We were even provided with great recommendations for restaurants in the area! Parking on site (and free!) was a huge plus since we had a car in the city during our stay. The rooms were large, beautiful, and clean. We will definitely be back to stay at Malmaison!

Very pore for a Malmaison
Room was not what I booked wanted king bed ended up with two double. Small tv in room didn’t work. Toilet seat wouldn’t stay up shower was in the bath not stand alone. Had room made up came back from kind day and to get the duvet of the bed I had to take the sheet off at the same time so had to re make my bed before I could get in it. Key stopped working and I returned after the doors locked I was stood outside for 30 mins until another guest left the hotel. No one on the desk.

Lovely hotel, and great location for the kitchin!
Great stay, lovely staff, easy and fast check in, lovely clean and spacious suite. Lovely continental breakfast delivered to our room as we had to check out early before the cooked breakfast began. Only slight minor was the windows in our room were rattling and draughty which was only highlighted as it was a very windy January night in Edinburgh. 99% of the time I’m sure you wouldn’t notice that. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Perfect place to book.
It was friendly warm & welcoming. All staff we met were all exceptional. The waiting staff at breakfast. Just lovely. The bed was super comfortable and the ambiance in the room comforting on a winters day. Good was delicious.
