Highfield Guest House: A must in Edinburgh
Very nice bed & breakfast with incredible hosts that want the best for you. Rooms are very clean, the breakfast is top notch and included! Staff is extremely nice and thoughtful (really really thoughtful). A must for your stay in Edinburgh.

Prestations exceptionnelles, tout le monde est aux petits soins pour vous. On sent vraiment qu'ils ont à coeur de rendre service et de vous renseigner à chaque question que vous pourriez avoir. La chambre est d'une propreté remarquable, la literie est d'un confort sans pareil. La connexion internet est de très bonne qualité. Que dire de plus ? Vous pouvez y aller les yeux fermés !!

Gordon, Maggie, and Kate were amazing. Not only is their guest house beautiful, but the service was second to none and made our first stay in Edinburgh a great one. Would recommend this place to anyone who wants a quiet and well serviced stay a stones throw from downtown Edinburgh.

One of the best Guest Houses in Edinburgh
The Highfield Guest House is just a little bit further from the centre of Edinburgh but you can easily get there in 20 minutes by bus. The premises are immaculate and I was given a very friendly welcome by Maggie. Breakfast is not provided but that is not a difficulty as a branch of Margiotta's supermarket is just opposite where good croissants and coffee are available. The ensuite facilities were very well kept.

Perfect weekend stay
The guest house was easy to find with ample nearby parking. A lovely warm welcome (and room upgrade!) was the start of a perfect stay. Beds were very comfortable, and the rooms were clean and well-appointed. We'd definitely stay again.

Lovely stay. Ideal location with regular buses running into City very nearby. The area was exceptionally quiet in the Event by with some great nearby cafes for breakfast. Room was very clean and comfortable with a view of Arthur’s seat from our window. The host was super helpful with an informative welcome explaining all of the transport options and places to visit. Highly recommended

Great B&B near Royal Observatory
The Guest house is a 10min walk from the Royal Observatory and a 20min walk from old town. Ideally located for a business meeting at the Observatory. The Highfield has only a few rooms (5, I believe) and the owners are very welcoming and friendly. The rooms are not very large but very clean, comfortable and extremely well maintained. It is not a place where you want to work for hours but if you don't plan to spend a lot of time in your room, it is a great place to stay. If needed, I am sure you can use the breakfast room to work or read. The breakfast is cooked to order, very tasty and served starting at 8am. I keep on the top of my list for places to stay in Edinburgh.

Super guest house on the south side of Edinburgh
Fabulous guest house within easy walking distance of the City Centre. Well connected to bus routes too, and close to most of the Fringe venues. Maggie and Kate were great hosts, with Maggie in particular giving loads of advice on travel and dining options. The single room is a little on the small side but comfortable, bright and clean. I hadn't realised the bathroom was not ensuite but it is very close to the bedroom and not a major inconvenience. Breakfast was amazing!

The location of the accommodation is brilliant, not too far away from the city centre, in a quiet location, with a lovely view towards Arthur’s Seat and plenty of shops and pubs near by.

Uitstekend hotel voor een paar dagen Edinburgh. Net buiten (tijdens festival) drukke centrum maar op loopafstand ( en zo nodig met prima busverbinding). Kleinschalig, echt Schots, gezellige ontbijtzaal, persoonlijke aandacht van personeel.

We only stayed one night but it was a pleasure ! A lovely warm welcome from Maggie and all the bus information needed to get us started on our short visit to Edinburgh. It was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was freshly cooked and delicious. Kate and Gordon were also very friendly. We will stay ther again and recommend to all our friends and family. Excellent value for money.

The hosts are very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and gave us lots of tips about what to do and where to go. The breakfast was one of the best we'd ever had and the room was very clean and comfortable. We would highly recommend this B&B to anyone.

It was a lovely clean room. You can feel that the owner has thought about all the details to make sure your stay is comfortable.
