« Pros: cRoom was clean and nice size. Kitchen had everything we have it at home except for food. Bed was very comfortable. Staff and valet were very helpful. We arrived to town early and were checked in at 1pm which was nice, because we wanted to walk to the NFL draft. Cons: one side of the hotel is next to train tracks, Friday night we counted four trains and could hear the trains loud and clear. We counted 4 trains pass by our room between 11 PM and 3:30 AM, so we didn’t sleep most of the...

« Late arroval with 2 huge luggage's and the person at the desk give us a room at the 3rd level... without elevator !!! We reclam to use one who go only at the second floor! Then the A/C in the room 1304 make a noise! It looks like sleeping near a plane! horrible! And the windows are not double glazing so with the road in front it was a disaster! We were so enthousiastic by seeing the pictures and at the end so deeply disappointed. »

« We booked this hotel sight-unseen on Expedia, knowing nothing about the property. This was one of the most delightful surprises we've ever encountered while traveling. The decor was stunning, our room was huge, the restaurant was amazing- just everything about it was top notch. From the outside, it's a very unassuming building on a fairly nondescript street, but once you step inside, you're in a time machine that evokes the Gilded Age, in a really good way. « This is the second time I have stayed at the Oaklander. The first time there were stains all over my sheets. They were changed. This time the pillows were wrinkled and did not smell fresh. I had to request new pillow cases. It’s a beautiful hotel but when they tell you they are inspecting your room before you go in beware, you better inspect it yourself. Housekeeping was very courteous when they changed the pillow cases. One bright point. Very disappointing for such a beautiful hotel. »
