The Shubenacadie River is a river in Nova Scotia, Canada. It has a meander length of approximately 72 km from its source at Shubenacadie Grand Lake to its mouth at the historic seaport village of Maitland on Cobequid Bay, site of the building of the William D. Lawrence, the largest wooden ship ever built in Canada. The lower 30 km of the river (from the point where the Stewiacke River meets to the mouth) is tidal and the river experiences a tidal bore twice daily, with some bores reaching up to 3 m in height at certain points along the river. « Nous avons trouvé Chester était assez central pour passer soit la journée dans les secteurs de Lunnenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Wolfville etc... La section de la maison destinée aux locataires est très représentative des photos. Toute les commodités sont presentes. Salle de bain nouvellement rénovée. Le seul hic se retrouve à l'extérieur, l'aménagement semble super en photo, mais le deck près de l'eau est dangereux, aucune rambarde. Une installation vitrée serait parfaite. En ce moment le...

« This was a charming place, steps from the beach. We arrived late and entered by lockbox. We found a comfortable bed, ample room for clothes, etc. and older but fully functional appliances. The shower/bathroom was a tight fit but everything worked well. TV was hard to figure out for a pair of tech dunderheads. We had no contact with the host while there. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. »
