Mid Century Modern Condo - Deck with Great Views - Heated Pool

Our 1400 square foot Cascade Village condo (Unit 18) featuring 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms is the perfect Colorado mountain escape. Located just minutes north of Purgatory Resort, our condo is fully furnished, equipped with a full kitchen, wood fireplace, and private decks off both main living space and master bedroom. The condo was newly furnished in late 2021 (mostly from Williams Sonoma along with Cloud Mattresses) and is located in the San Juan Building which offers unobstructed views of Spud Mountain and the Needle Mountain Range since it does not have other buildings in front. It offers all the comforts of home in a pristine mountain setting!

Bed Configuration:
Master Bedroom: King with TV and Ensuite Bath. There is also a trundle bed (2 singles) in the space thru the Master Bathroom by the Master Deck (Upstairs)
2nd Bedroom: Queen bed (Main Level)

Please note, due to HOA regulations, this unit, and all of the units at Cascade Village, are NOT pet friendly and trailers are not allowed.

As with all properties in the area, the condo does not have AC. Given the day times highs are rarely above 80 while the lows are in the 40s. Open the windows after the sun is behind the mountains and then close them in the morning along with the blinds that face west. This will keep the house plenty cool.

Cascade Village is less than 2 miles north of Purgatory Resort, 26 miles (less than 30 minutes) north of Durango and 25 miles south of Silverton (less than 30 minutes).

Purgatory offers a complimentary ski shuttle to our Cascade rental guests on a set schedule 1-2 times in the AM and PM during the ski season, on a first come first serve basis. Details will be provided in your rental instructions.

On-site amenities at Cascade Village include an indoor heated pool, sauna, outdoor/indoor hot tubs and game room with pool table, foosball and several arcade games. There is also a gym, outdoor tennis court (summer and fall only) and a ski rental shop.

All of the Cascade Village units are equipped with reliable Fiber Optic internet service with an average internet speed of up to 50 Mbps. In late 2020 Cascade Village moved from cable TV service to all streaming services. While in-house, guests can stream their favorite movies and TV shows on their preferred provider (e.g. Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime) using the smart TVs in the unit. Reliable fiber optic service means guests can stream on multiple devices during their stay.

Book at least a week and a 10% discount is automatically applied (Excludes Christmas/New Years).

Great property for ski vacation

Everything was great for our ski vacation. The kitchen is fully stocked. The coffee filters there didn’t work well with the maker as they were the wrong shape so we picked some up and left them. We also left some fire starters. The front office gave us fire starter for our first night. There were even spices and salt and pepper in the kitchen. Crockpot blender and all the things you would need. The upstairs bedroom is huge. So nice. We had a great time. Also the sleds and hill was fun.

Pleased with our first Cascade Village stay

The check in process was effortless. Property management was very communicative. We had a WiFi issue and it got resolved by the next day. The home was clean and kitchen well stocked. It was nice to be so close to purgatory. As someone who has traveled annually to Durango for over 15 years, I would recommend this place!

Problems with property

No A/C. No screens on sliding doors so couldn’t get cross ventilation without bugs coming in. Very slow response getting any help. Couldn’t get into property….key pad would not work. Maintenance man was 30 miles away. It took over an hour waiting to get in.

Perfect ski condo!

Cascade Village is the perfect place to stay while skiing! Ski rentals onsite and a quick five minute drive to the base. The condo is updated, beds are comfy and kitchen is well stocked!

Great Stay

Stayed mid August 2023 and was worried about there not being A/C, but it was not an issue at all. Opening the windows each evening cooled the place off quick. Overall great place to stay summer or winter. We hope to be back.

We had a wonderful time at your condo. The condo was beautiful, and the view of the mountains was great. The kitchen had everything I needed to cook. The fireplace was also a bonus every afternoon. Adequate for adults, not toddler friendly

This property looked roomier in the online listing than it was, but accommodated us just fine. It is dated and could have used a little more cleaning, but everything we needed was provided. The coffee pot didn’t work but luckily we found a spare in the closet. The washer and dryer was nice to have and surprisingly quiet while running. The queen bed room on the lower level has very little lighting. The shower in the upstairs bathroom is tiny, but the oversized bathtub was a hit for our small child. There was no A/C and the upstairs window was broken so we couldn’t open it, but the ample amount of fans provided helped cool the condo in the evenings. The on-site restaurant was surprisingly good but pricey and the pool was a good option for a rainy afternoon.

Breathtaking views and amenities galore

This condo is truly amazing. With just a few minor adjustments I’d venture to say it’s perfect. The location: PERFECT for access to purgatory. The shuttle is currently only running once back and forth so we opted to drive and it was so easy and convenient (especially with covered parking directly under condo). Parking at purgatory wasn’t an issue at all (midweek). The views out of both levels are absolutely breathtaking. We rented our skis from the shop in the lodge as well which made it even more convenient. The living spaces: Pretty much everything is updated and very nice. My husband loved the abundance of firewood available in the parking garage to keep the space super cozy (and we even roasted marshmallows-but did bring our own sticks). I could see how the table could be a little bit of a squeeze with 6 people but there are a few stools for the counter as well. There is a washer/dryer which was a must for me (think sweaty gloves each night with temps up in the 40s skiing) and there was plenty of detergent. The kitchen: super stocked with appliances and dishes (had crockpot, blender, 2 traditional coffee machines, a plug in griddle, tons of pots and pans, some random spices). My only suggestion would be if you have small children you may want to grab some disposable or cheap plastic plates/cups because all the plates, bowls, cups are ceramic/glass. My youngest is 6 and he even made me a little nervous . The only 2 things I could’ve used but didn’t have, but I made it work was a pizza cutter and a bigger size frying pan. Bedrooms: The sheets and bedding were incredibly soft and cozy and seem brand new. I enjoyed the master bed but it was a little soft for my husband (it did feel like laying on a cloud). My kids slept great on the other beds and I never laid on them so I can’t attest to that. Bathrooms: Nice, clean, great water pressure and super hot water (but it WILL run out, so time Bath accordingly) . The jacuzzzi tub got a lot of use! Electronics: Wifi a little spotty (more of a condo issue). Had issue with TV upstairs but they were quick to respond and had someone out the next day. Ended up with a ROKU and all available apps. TV downstairs is perfect. Lodge: the pool, hot tubs, saunas, game room were all big hits and wish we had actually utilized them sooner. Best part of the location for us was we were able to watch our kids sledding and playing in the snow just out of windows and from our deck! (There is 1 sled in the unit)
