« The place is situated right across from the ocean and not super far from Belfast just need to plan on the country roads to get there. Beautiful countryside. Good fish and chips place beside us and they were very helpful for us. However there were some things lacking. There is no information for you when you enter. « We enjoyed our stay at Downpatrick. The house is quite modern and has lots of room. Bedrooms and lounge areas were comfortable and kitchen was very well equipped. The only issue we had with our stay was the hot water. Initially we had no hot water as this needed to be turned on (not told and not something we were familiar with). Additionally the shower unit appeared to have malfunctioned. Despite Deidre and Joe coming over it wasn't something they could fix. They did provide a couple of bottles...

« Pets permitted was the principle reason this venue was chosen, but later found out this was an error. Instructions were well received, and we felt welcomed. Cleanliness was a bit of an issue especially when you factor in the price paid. The french press wasn't clean, laundry basket had dirt, and you could find algea growing along the base of the shower. The futon wasn't suitable for an adult. Ended up using the couch to sleep. The most concerning issue was the neighborhood. Trash in the streets...

« We loved our stay here. The house was really comfortable, clean and a great place to relax and enjoy time with family. The hosts are very friendly and helpful. This is a great base to explore the area as there is lots to do just a short drive away. »

« The cottage was a perfect place for our group of four long time friends to have a relaxing place to stay. The cottage and grounds were so beautiful. Much love and work has gone into making this place so pleasant. Richard and Rosemary were amazing hosts. From being there to greet us (with fresh baked bread), answering any questions and providing recommendations for our visit, they truly did everything to make our visit wonderful and memorable. »
