« The villa is very convenient for a big family, with all the amenities anyone would need, very quiet, relaxing and view is spectacular, our only difficulties were that we had a very over loaded 7 seaters car and was very difficult to get to the place. »

« Hydra was by far our favourite Island we visited in Greece. Communication with the host was excellent, she even coordinated the mules to help bring our luggage from the ferry to the house (well worth the 20!). The place is small and cozy but has what you need for your time on Hydra! The views from the rooftop terrace are beautiful and the island has a lot to see and do. We will certainly be coming back one day and would rent here again! Cheers from Canada! »

« It was our first time on Hydra and we all fell in love with the island and our Accommadation. Our host George was delightful to deal with gave very clear instructions. The views are amazing as were the sunsets. Four adults managing with one bathroom/toilet was a challenge but it wouldn’t stop us booking here again. »

« This is a stunner. One of the most unique and spectacular lodgings that I have ever encountered. The pictures do not do it justice. There are several terraces strung between two houses. All rooms and private outdoor spaces are oriented towards a jaw-dropping view of the port and sea. I stayed with a group of architects and we all agree that the layout and decor are very well designed. You must be fit and able bodied to reach the villa. « Great location, very clean and comfortable. The property was as described. We used the outdoor areas which were great. We had a couple of rainy days that left us indoors watching movies. Super comfortable. Great communication with the owners. Super easy. I spent a lot of time researching properties on Hydra and was pleased with this one. »

« We had the most wonderful stay at the Akanthos Villa. Our host, George, was welcoming, communicative, and kind; he made sure that we were comfortable and well taken care of. The villa itself is very beautiful and quiet, located just a 5-minute walk from the main port. A charming and spacious historical home which was perfect for our family during our Easter holiday. « All was very good. It is about 950 metres from the port, up the hill so be prepared to walk UP. However well worth it. Also if you want to do the walk up to the monetary you are about 1km closer. It would be great if there was a table and chairs inside instead of the long bench bench that is there there. »

The rooftop deck is amazing and at night the moon and stars light up the sky in calm silence. Hydra is an one of a kind location without motor vechicles or neon. « The Lemon House was a great place to stay for our family of five. It was very clean and comfortable. I liked the quirky layout and the private courtyard was a great place to sit and hang out. There was also an adorable little kitty that apparently lives in the area and would visit us in the courtyard every day. The house has a great location that is far enough away from the busy part of town yet still in easy walking distance. I would highly recommend this house for anyone staying in Hydra »
