« We loved the tranquility, the outlook over the meadows and the horses grazing over the fence, which the kids loved feeding. We really felt at home and was a great place to unwind for a few days. Nicely finished and well appointed with everything we needed. »

« Heavy frost outside, cosy inside. We had a great Matariki weekend - biked from the house to do the Old Coach Road and also did a walk up the mountain. House was very warm and beds so comfortable. I bought a few more wine glasses for the recycling centre to top up the supply

« Excellent stay, clean with a well stocked pantry and continental breakfast selection. Cottage is very close to the hosts property so bear this in mind if privacy is a concern.Beth was friendly and helpful, we didn’t get to meet her partner.So overall if you’re looking for a great base close to Whanganui and surrounds, can recommend Magnolia Cottage. »
