« The property was adequate but very expensive for what it was, only 2 bedrooms. The fire place was great. It didn't have wifi. Nice big deck and good views. Bodywash was show in the shower would have been useful. Good communication from Bachcare. Pukawa is a beautiful spot. »

« Great house, well stocked kitchen with everything we needed. Bonus having a fireplace and a woodshed with dry firewood. It was perfect for our family get-together. Would definitely stay again - but maybe in summer! »

« The best thing about the property is the location, which is amazing. And the supply of kayaks, lifejackets etc. If you are bringing a dog, it's worth knowing that the area is over-run with rabbits. Not sure why there is a reference to a winery in the listing. It's a basic batch (and small) but clean and everything you need. The outdoor set up is excellent. We'd come back again for sure. »

« Lovely place to stay and look out over the lake. Kids enjoyed being able to play in the reserve. Well equipped kitchen and plenty of bathroom availability for the large group we had. »

« Have holidayed in Hatepe for forty years so have rented many properties. Enjoyed the lake side position, the open fire and comfortable furnishings. There was only one extra blanket for the beds for my grandchildren who had come to NZ from 30 + degrees . Thanks owners for letting your property. I nursed with Di North in PN Hospital many years ago when we trained and Dr North was Med Superintendent? ( or have wrong family)?? »

« Very comfortable stay. The property had everything we required, great bedrooms and kitchen living area with a view out to the lake and Riverside Park. Was also a nice short walk to town for restaurants, cafes and bars. »

« Very clean and enough beds for 6 males. Garage nice and big to store mountain bikes safely. Great help from property manager and other staff when we left key inside house and went out garage door and shut it. They came around in a timely manner and opened house. Will book again »

« This is a great original kiwi bach for a relaxed family holiday. It is compact but had all that we required, with lots of space outside and easy walking distance to the lake. »
