« First thing to say is that this is a stunning building, beautifully restored. The apartment itself is great, spread over four floors, okay for six although the top room is quite small and the second bathroom on the top floor is only a toilet and basin - only one shower/bathroom. The cinema room is great! And the location is perfect - ten minutes walk over the river to the centre of York and two minutes away from the excellent shops and restaurants on Bishopthorpe Rd. »

« We had a lovely 3 night stay in the Bluebell shepherds hut. The accommodation was well equipped, and beautifully decorated. We couldn't have asked for a comfier bed! The hot was an added treat and just as lovely in the drizzle!Only thing that could be improved is better Wi-Fi connection, it is there, just intermittent. Sue was a delight to be welcomed by and had we needed anything, I have no doubt we would have received it quickly. »

« Quando siamo arrivati al cottage verso le 18.00 non si è presentato nessuno per darchi la chiave. Abbiamo chiesto ad una vicina che ha cercato si aiutarci. Alla fine, verso le 21.15 hanno rintracciato la donna delle pulizie che ci ha prestato la sua chiave. Ore che volevamo trascorrere a York e che abbiamo perso girando da una casa all'altra in cerca di aiuto. Roberta »

« We loved our time in Ripon, it was a lovely place with quite a few options for pubs, restaurants and places to explore, all within walking distance. The cottage itself was beautiful, well equipped and spotlessly clean, and Katharine made us, and our dog, feel very welcome. We can't recommend the Hayloft enough, if we are back in Ripon, we will definitely book it again, 5 stars! :-) »

« Everything you need for a short stay in York - park the car and explore on foot. The chimes of the Minster bell awake you in the morning (8am), you can then prepare for your day of exploring York. Easy with each bedroom having ensuite facilities. Leave the car where is it safely parked under cover ( room for 2). When you are footsore - wander back to your cosy cottage, plenty of facilities to cook, watch telly, read a book and snuggle up on the sofa. Moatside Gate met our needs and we plan to...
