« We had an absolutely ball at Waitārere! The place has a lovely, homely vibe, and the forest right out the back feels like your own private retreat. The separate bunk room was perfect for the kids, giving them their own space while we enjoyed some quiet time. The house itself is fantastic, very clean (cleaner than my house!) and I loved-loved-LOVED the kitchen - a chef’s dream! « This cottage was a fantastic base for exploring the area: really well equipped for the cold weather. Comfortable beds. Really well set up for self-catering. We loved how quiet it was and walking to the river three minutes away, but still being so close to shops/supermarket etc. Clear instructions from property manager, he was super helpful too. Can't recommend the place highly enough!! »
