Escape to Tranquil Bay, a stunning 5-bedroom waterfront haven nestled in San Leon, Texas. This sprawling home boasts a unique Texas-shaped pool and breathtaking panoramic views. Perfect for family gatherings or group getaways, Tranquil Bay offers a harmonious blend of indoor comfort and outdoor adventure, creating an idyllic retreat for unforgettable memories.

Location: San Leon, Texas

Private pool: This home features a custom state of Texas in-ground pool with a depth ranging from 3 to 6 feet and overlooking Galveston Bay.

WIFI: Free high-speed WIFI is available throughout the home.

Cable: We provide Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own Amazon Prime, Netflix, or other streaming service apps as well.

Pet policy: Up to 3 pets are welcome in our home with a $25 fee per pet. We ask that pets stay off all furniture, are cleaned up after in the yard, and aren't left alone inside the home unless in a crate or kennel. Please message us if you’re planning on bringing your furry friend!

Large Groups: We love hosting church groups and large family gatherings, however groups over the size of 16 guests must be approved prior to booking.

Parking: There is room for up to 5 cars in the driveway.

Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

Connecting seamlessly to the dining area is a beautiful kitchen, making meal preparation and entertaining a breeze. Down the hall, discover three well-appointed bedrooms: a bright and airy king room, a versatile room with a king bed and a full-over-full bunk bed, and a tranquil retreat with three queen beds and enchanting patio views. The main level also features one and a half bathrooms and a convenient laundry room.

Ascend the staircase to the luxurious primary suite, occupying the entire second floor. This private oasis features a plush king-sized bed, oversized windows framing captivating views, and access to a spacious sun deck, perfect for enjoying your morning coffee or evening nightcap. An en-suite bathroom, complete with a spa-like shower and a massive walk-in closet, complements this private oasis.

For those seeking entertainment and fun, the converted garage has been transformed into a sprawling game room, complete with arcade games, table games, and a final bedroom designed to accommodate larger groups with its three full-over-queen bunk beds.

House Rules:
- Guests must be 24+ to book the property.
- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 16 would need to be approved. We love hosting church groups, family reunions, etc., but do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Any damages to the house or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- All pets must be approved by our team, stay off of all furniture, be cleaned up after in the yard, and not left alone inside the home unless in a kennel.
- No parking allowed on lawns, yards, empty grass lots or other neighbors’ driveways, even if their home appears unoccupied.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted unless explicit approval has been received from our team.
- Do not turn the AC below 70 degrees. If you do, you will risk the AC unit freezing up, requiring it to thaw out which will result in the home getting extremely warm.
- The homeowner's routine pool maintenance cannot be rescheduled and is required for the health and safety of our guests. They will not need to access the home but will access the yard.
- No jumping or diving into the bay.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

Stay was refreshing! House was clean and huge! Plants everywhere and the pool was awesome! Only complaint was dishwasher was broken and smelled horrible and the fishing dock is not safe I made it across but my wife wouldn't even attempt so we couldn't really fish!

The property is great, plenty of places to be in or out of the sun. The beds were awesome. Downside- Dead roaches all around the house. Went into the kitchen, and the cabinets were filled with live roacheswould consider staying there again. just needs some pest control

The location was great and the place had plenty of room to spread out. But the uninvited visitors (bugs) and the feeling that this place was set up for large groups (read college students) made our stay only marginal. :(

The place was spotless, with every corner meticulously clean and well-maintained. The highlight, though, was the stunning view from the living room. The atmosphere was peaceful, and it was the perfect spot to relax and unwind. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a clean, scenic getaway.

We really loved everything about this house until we ran across the roaches. Nothing will ruin a stay more than a roach infestation. There were a ton of tiny roaches in the kitchen as well as some larger ones too. Thankfully most (not all) of the roaches we saw were confined to the kitchen. That just made the kitchen unusable for us. I told the property manager about the problem and they were very responsive and I believe took the problem seriously. I will say we would give the property 5 out of 5 if not for the roaches.Aside from the roaches... we loved the charm of the house. Beds were comfy. We used the fire pit and the game room/garage. We loved the old school arcade games. There was so much sleeping room we could not make use of it all. This would be a great place for an extended family vacation. The pier was rickety, we didn't try it. The view of the water from the upstairs bedroom was amazing!!

We recently made our 6th trip to San Leon in 5 years while one trip was for a month. We have had different vrbo’s every time. But this one was the best. Great house, Great Location. Quiet neighbors. And the Host was on point. Strongly recommend!

The Tranquil Home was the perfect place for our large family gathering. Our teens enjoyed the game room activities, smores by the fire while the adults fired up the pit for some good Texas style bar-be-cue. My husband and I enjoyed our morning coffee in the upstairs master suite as we watched a breath taking Sunrise. Although there were some inconveniences such as some of the appliances did not work and the plumbing had issues we were able to get through. All and all our family time was priceless and memorable.

On the whole, the house was fine. What is slightly annoying are a number of small flaws that really shouldn't be there. Loose cables in sockets and fans, for example. But that is not possible. It is a house with 4 bedrooms and not 5, as it is advertised on one or the other platform. Number five is a separate room in the garage with only beds. No sanitary facilities and the toilet is outside and can only be found at night with a flashlight. And what would be cool is if the jetty was fixed. Therefore grade 3.

The Texas-shaped pool was the only star of the show—too bad it couldn’t save the rest of the stay. We reported roaches, but instead of addressing the issue, property management asked for photo proof, as if the roaches were camera shy. Trust me, they weren’t—they were bold enough to run across my arm in the middle of the night and hide under my wife’s pillow. A terribly installed 2-inch high tile transition injured my daughter’s toe, missing tv remotes, and the toilets and faucets seemed barely attached. The fridge in kitchen wasn’t working either. The boat slip / pier? Completely unsafe and unusable to walk on, with tons of loose boards, exposed nails, and no power, lights or water. We were completely deceived. Prior to making our reservation we specifically asked if it was usable and they said yes. Oh and if you enjoy being watched, the security cameras aimed at the pool and front yard area might appeal to you. If your main intent is to use the pier or boat slip, I would skip this property until they replace the property management company and invest significantly in repairs, safety and pest control. Overall, the place didn’t live up to its listing, and management’s lack of action and0 remedy didn’t help. They didn't seem to care. The home is nice , awesome pool ,but we did have to get someone out to clean it ,very dirty one of the reasons i wanted to rent this place is because my mom loves to fish & I did ask the host about the pier prior to going and he replied back saying the pier was in great shape! That pier is not in good shape, my brother was the only one who made it on the pier , my uncle had to have help to get back My brother would love to go back if he could just fix the pier

VERY DISAPPOINTED!!! My family booked this place for my son 10th birthday. He loves fishing and swimming. We stayed at this place before and enjoyed it so we booked again even tho it was double the price. I confirmed with the host a week and the day before to see if the pier and the pool are good. The host confirmed and said it was good. So when we got there, the pier was unstable and broken and pool was dirty. My family , especially my son was so disappointed. He said it was the worse birthday ever. We didnt stay and left. I messaged the host and the office and notified them. They said someone will get back to me and no one did. The next day i called again and they said the same thing. Tuesday, i called and they cant do anything about it since it was checkout. So i basically paid for this property and didnt get to use the amenities and didnt stay. The trouble that we had to go thru for this trip and very disappointing that the host and Beachbox staffs didnt care about the situation. paid thifoe this property and didnt gs

The house was big and had plenty of parking. Everything was pretty clean. The host was very responsive. There were some minor issues like the full bathroom door was broken so you couldn't close it. One of the closet doors in the bedroom was broken and the door knob from the garage was also broken/loose. I told the host about these issues and said they would notify their handyman. Overall we had a good time.

This property was hands down gorgeous. There was enough room for everyone. The pool was amazing. The host was amazing. There was a few gnats, but it’s the beach so that was to be expected. Not so much of a pest to ruin our time. The pool is not heated and we didn’t mind at all. It was hot enough outside for us to just dive in. Honestly I miss this place already! I have been singing this property praises to whoever would listen, lol

The house was exactly as pictured. So much room, the views are beautiful! The only negative, we brought our fur babies and the back yard where the pool is, was not completely fenced as we were told. We came the 2nd week of February and were not able to use the pool due to cooler weather. The beds were fantastic! The home was clean and well put together. The garage/gameroom was awesome! Great communication with management. We would recomend Pier 6 and The Landry House for dinner out. Galveston Beach is a short drive. The private pier is pretty scary, but the guys went out daily and took a charter fishing trip as well. We would definitely come back! A good time was had by all!

We definitely enjoyed our stay at this San Leon home. The pictures and listing were very accurate, and the Owner/Host was very engaged and easy to reach. The property was also great and inviting, whether you are using the awesome pool or sitting in the back yard areas to relax. The only cons from our perspective were the following: the main bath toilet seat was fully cracked in half at the front so it was difficult to sit on, and even though the Owner was very responsive, no maintenance person showed up to replace it; kitchen could use a little TLC just from an aesthetics standpoint; we'd prefer curtains or blinds on all the windows that have none for privacy (especially when you're in an unfamiliar location); the upstairs deck could use chairs instead of one bench as the view is awesome - understand that this could be challenging due to wind/weather, so maybe ones that are permanently anchored would work; the upstairs bathroom door could use a curtain or covers on the glass panels (again for the privacy factor); the fishing pier is definitely rickety, so that is a "do so at your own risk" kind of thing. Aside from those minor items, everything else was lovely and we would absolutely stay here again. Look forward to booking our next trip here!!
