Our cozy, modern Ferndale ranch, renovated in 2025, features five (5) bedrooms, each with its own smart TV! Our new kitchen includes a gas range with an over-the-range vented microwave, quartz countertops, marble tile backsplash, custom wood shelving + bench, and stainless steel appliances. Not to be outdone by the main floor, our basement is the secret highlight of the house with a dedicated work-from-home office area featuring two desk chairs, monitor setups with docks, keyboards, mouses, and comfy office chairs! You’ll also find a small-but-convenient private home gym stocked with a weight bench, bands, rollers, free weights, a spinning bike, and kettle bells—perfect for keeping your routine while away.
To top it all off, unwind or entertain in our expansive, fully-fenced backyard featuring a propane grill, string lights, fire pit, plenty of seating, and even an outdoor barrel sauna! Finally, we are 5 min from Royal Oak, 15 min from Birmingham/Troy, and 15–20 min from downtown Detroit and all of its amenities. With plenty of off-street parking, this is the perfect spot for any gathering or extended getaway!

The basement, down a full flight of stairs, features a workspace area with 2 desk setups, 2 bedrooms, a full bathroom, and the laundry room. The backyard features a picnic table area, a swing chair, and a paver entertaining area with outdoor seating and a fire pit (bring your own fire wood!).
Arrive with Ease _____________ Enjoy a seamless check-in experience with keyless digital access. Check-in anytime that fits your schedule, after 4:00 pm. If you’d like an early check-in, shoot us a message the day before your stay. If no other guest is checking out, you’re welcomed to check-in anytime!
Rest in Comfort _____________ Sink into soft, plush memory foam mattresses, hypoallergenic down alternative microfiber comforter, crisp clean linens, and extra blankets for the winter in each of our bedrooms. Stay rested with blackout drapes in each bedroom.
Sleeping Arrangements _____________ In addition to two king-sized and three queen-sized beds our space features a queen-sized pullout couches by Koala and a queen-sized air mattress! Plenty of extra linens and pillows are available to ensure groups of any size have a comfortable, restful stay.

Expectations _____________ 99% of guests are visiting family, friends, on a work trip, or just exploring town. For anyone who intends to have a party, disturb the neighborhood, or in any other way violate our house rules, we want to make clear that:
We have a zero-tolerance policy for this. We have noise sensors that alert us if decibel levels pass a certain threshold, and we have unfortunately had to ask guests to leave for violating this rule. Being a good neighbor of the city and the block we are on is very important to us.
We have sensors to detect indoor smoking (nicotine and marijuana) and have an automatic $750 fine for violations, and have also had to ask guests to leave early for violating this rule.
Parking _____________ Please park in our driveway to the right-hand side of the house. The driveway fits two-to-three cars and there’s plenty of free street parking in front of the house as well!
Entry _____________ The unit is fully accessible via a YALE smart lock at the front door. Enter the unique code we'll provide you the week before your stay begins, and press the CHECK to unlock.
When leaving, enter your code and press the CHECK to lock the door.
Our Availability _____________ We are available whenever you need! Please feel free to reach out via the app or website you booked on with any specific questions. For any health emergencies, please dial 911. If a system malfunctions (i.e., hot water not functioning or a light has gone out), please send us a message on the app or website you booked on and we will be sure to address it in as short a time as possible (we usually respond within a few minutes). We also have handymen, electricians, plumbers, and landscapers with whom we work, so for any extenuating circumstances, we will happily bring them out to solve your issues post haste!
Extra Sleeping Arrangements _____________ Pullout Couch: To change the pullout couches into beds, pull the sliding section underneath the couch out and once completely extended, lift the couch cushions up so they unfold onto the extended section. You’re all set!
Air Mattress: Designed for camping, our air mattress is extra-sturdy and provides a wonderful sleeping space for two. To inflate, please plug in the pump and wait for it to charge. Once the light on it is solid (not blinking), unplug the pump, insert the end into the air mattress, and flip the switch to inflate.
Extra Linens: In one of the bedroom closets you will find extra bath towels, hand towels, pillows, and sheets for the air mattress and pullout couch

House Rules _____________ We love hosting folks, so we want to be as respectful as possible to our wonderful neighbors. Since we’re in a quiet neighborhood, we do ask that you follow a few easy rules:
- No parties & no overnight guests without prior approval. If you’re looking to host a small gathering, that’s probably ok but please let us know. - Respectful, quiet volume, particularly after 9 pm. - Please leave your shoes at the door. - No pets please, as many of the guests we host have allergies. - No smoking - also, don't discard your cigarettes in house trash cans. They get stinky. - If you break or damage something, please let us know and arrange for its replacement or repair. - Do not leave any food out that will attract uninvited pests. Our home is pest-free and we intend to keep it that way with your help. - Use of any exercise or fitness equipment (weights, bands, bike, bench, etc.) is strictly at your own risk. By booking and/or entering the property, all guests and visitors agree that the host/owner is not liable for any injury or accident. Children may not use the equipment without direct adult supervision.

Getting Around _____________ For public transportation, the house is a 10-minute walk from multiple bus stops nearby! The most convenient stop is Mack & St Aubin. From here, you can catch busses which connect to routes all throughout Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb counties and will take you everywhere from St. Claire Shores to Ann Arbor to DTW International Airport! Lyfts and Ubers are also frequently accessible in the area for any urgent travel needs.
