« Ample parking at front of property. Staff very welcoming and polite. The room was great with a view of the gardens, which were lovely to walk around. The building had character. The meal in the restaurant was fabulous as was breakfast, and the service excellent. 5 stars. Will definitely stay here if in the area again. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️😁👍 »

« This pub is located in the very centre of the town an thus walking distance from most attractions and restaurants. The place is clean though rather basic with few amenities. No breakfast is on offer.
Our problem was that the bedrooms appear to have been built into this historic building with little or no sound proofing. The noise from the bar below sounds in the bedroom as if was coming out of the wardrobe! The music played seemed to be a challenge to the drinkers to shout over it.

« No running water in the leisure building between 2.30pm and 4.30pm which we didnt know until we were already in pool so no showers etc. Kids in the adult only/spa guests only area playing in the jacuzzi/spa pool, roudy group in the relaxation room, reception apologised but didnt seem bothered. Significant mould in the cafe/reception area. Hoses laying untaped on the footpath.
Rooms showing lots of signs of age and desperately in need of TLC (shower grout, peeling paint and wallpaper, frayed...

« The room was comfortable and the bedding was immaculate, the attention to detail was lacking in that surfaces were dusty, the tea and coffee facility was sparce and empty milk jigger left amongst fresh supply.
Bathroom was functional apart from toilet seat which was a bit wobbly.
All in all we had a comfortable stay. The hotel is tired and needs some tlc. »
