« The best hotel we have ever been in. We called it hotel california wbecause it was like being in a dream with this incredible garden, the foutains, the statues of wild animals, the incredible decoration, the fabulous restaurant (the carnivore) ... All this for the price of a standard hotel ... Remind that it is the Misty Hills near the Lions park. There are 3 Misty Hills in Johannesbourg and I do not know the other ones. »

« Not an easy place to find, Hekpoort did not come up on our sat nav and it's quite a way from Magliesburg. Once there though it is in a beautiful setting and very peaceful, just you and the rising sun If my life's ambiton was to write a book this is where i'd come. Very good standard of hosting. Essentially self catering. »

« The Rabbit Hole is a funky, niche hotel near the Cradle of Humankind World Heritage Site. In the area you either get "lodges" or small chain motels. I love the place and stay there frequently when on expeditions. Staff is friendly, rooms are clean. »
