« The stay at Mrs. Doris' Ocean Pearl was wonderful. The cable was out in the room and the water went out the first day, but those were both beyond the hotel's control. Mrs. Doris was absolutely wonderful and was extremely accommodating. This is the perfect destination for those looking to get away from the world and slow down. Go visit Bishop next door and be sure to order the Crack Conch Dinner in the Ocean Peal kitchen. »

« This is a fantastic home with access to a beautiful beach. You can walk the beach for miles and only see a few people the whole day. The home has everything you need including two kayaks. The restaurant next door, Pelicans by the Sea, has wonderful fresh fish and casual fare. The food is great and the staff warm and welcoming. « We really enjoyed our time here.. The area does look a little worn down from the recent hurricanes but these cottages are well cared for. We especially enjoyed his mothers wonderful cooking.. The lobster she made us was better than the restaurants we ate at on a different night.
The kayaks were a lot of fun!
Fresh coconuts from the trees as a special treat from the owner was exciting for the kids.
We loved staying on sand!
We struggled not having a washing machine with two kids for 5 days but...
