« Three Trails is ideally located in downtown Elkin. It, however, is located next to an active railroad line and trains do sound their horns early in the mornings and sometimes at night. Three Trails is also on the corner of the main street junction of the city. Therefore, there is street noise. Three Trails would be much improved, and more comfortable for guests, if sound proofing glass is installed in the windows. « The entire site was very clean and well maintained. Cabin was cozy. The campfire with wood included was a nice touch and my wife and I loved the scripture everywhere! »

« My son and I had a great time. We really enjoyed the river. We never did get any bites (fishing) but it was just nice being outside with the sound of the river and small falls. I will say that when they mention wanting to have an all wheel drive or 4x4 when the weather isn’t sunny and dry, we made it back to the cabin in a Honda Odyssey in low and had no trouble. Would definitely recommend. »

« This was a wonderful place to stay. Although it is off-grid it does have a mini fridge, A/C and a normal toilet (the toilet is located in it's own building attached to the main bedroom but is private and not inconvenient at all). The VRBO is on the owners land but is still secluded and very peaceful. We did not see anyone else while we were there and it definitely felt like we had the place to ourselves.At night we watched the fireflies and the the stars. Such a perfect spot to unwind.
